I like the New Orleans Saints old strategy of swapping a tackle over to guard if he has the right tools. Why can't we just draft somebody and then play them at the position they played in college? Sometimes we're just too smart for our own good.

If they have a healthy line of Penning, Peat, McCoy, Ruiz and Ram - I think they can be a dominate line in pass pro and run blocking against most of the defensive fronts around the league. Even more so if they can get a replacement level rookie from the draft to take over for Peat. I think I remember Ruiz bringing up in some interview how beneficial Strief's coaching had been for his development. |
