Re: 13 Years Ago Today

I remember I thought about taking the next day off to sit home and spend the day watching highlights. I ended up going to work, but everyone was in such a good mood it was pretty cool.

Re: 13 Years Ago Today

I remember sitting in disbelief at Porter running it back. I honestly don't think I celebrated at the time because I couldn't comprehend what I was seeing.

When Reggie Wayne dropped that pass on 4th down, I then cheered so loud I woke my parents up (it was around 4.30am UK time) and they came downstairs and celebrated with me.

LOL! When Porter picked that off my wife jumped up on me, arms and legs around me, and I ran us around the living room with my arm up pointing like Porter approaching the end zone with both of us screaming. I'll never forget it.

After the game, trying to call family and friends, no. All circuits were busy. Everybody, all Saints fans trying to call using 504 area code, no.

During the game, so much ,so many memories.
Porter.
Onside kick. Saints then usual comeback after halftime.

I get pi$$ed off when I see the Saints Super Bowl win referred to this way . . .'Thirteen years ago today, the Saints won their first & ONLY Super Bowl title.'

I believe the Saints, Jets, Bucs and Ravens are the only NFL teams to win their initial Super Bowl Appearance. Better to be UNDEFEATED than never appeared in or never WON (FALCONS, PANTHERS) just to mention two at random!!

As a side note to this, the failclowns are the ONLY team in NFL history to lose a Super Bowl when leading by double digits at halftime!

Not anymore. The Eagles just lost leading by ten at the half. And I loved it.
