I have never felt before any game ever that we wouldn't win. It's just the way I'm wired.

I understand that many people can look at a game and expect not to win. That's fine, but not the way I function.

But you sure as heck don’t think the team will really go undefeated and if you had anything to wager on it all seriousness, you damn well know you wouldn’t be predicting it.

Of course I don't think they'll go undefeated. Odds are definitely against it. It's only happened once. But I also can't see a game that I don't think they can win so I choose to believe they'll win each of them individually. Therefore I say 20-0. That shouldn't harm anything, right?

No harm. We just differ on the idea of prediction.

BIG difference between an honest assessment of the team's schedule and wishful thinking. Of COURSE everyone who is a fan would absolutely love to have a Perfect Season (Sorry '72 Dophins) but it's highly improbable that it will happen.:bng:

I honestly don't see a game where I feel we WILL lose. I knows it's most likely we will lose a game or games, but going on a game by game basis it just works out to a 17-0 regular season.

Let's see... 2-1 in preseason and 20-0 in the regular.... adds up to 22-1. Am I doing this right? :bng:

Wins - Some
Losses - Some
Ties - Maybe

Closest that I can get with the information that is available.

11-5 looks about right to me. Of course, it all depends on the team health....again!

^^^^ Rugs, 7 - 10 for 2024.

Loomis & co will make minimal changes to this coaching staff.

Insanity.

Meanwhile, Atlanta is interviewing Belichick and Harbaugh for their HC job. Whoever we bring in at OC damn well better be able to play with the big boys.

Insanity.

Let's go back and revisit this thought process again K.

Last year DA brought in his own coaches throughout the defense and kept his system in tact with Joe Woods efficiently implementing Dennis Allen's system. During the offseason there were several coaching changes/upgrades to a defense that is still one of the best in the league. However, the defensive line coach, Todd Grantham, couldn't develop Penning into a viable backup and his D line was subpar in almost all categories. I'd like to see either new assistant/position coaches brought in or a new line coach to inject some much needed life in our defensive line.

This year we will have a new OC and undoubtedly he will bring in coaches that he has worked with before who know his system and understand what he wants to accomplish in New Orleans. We should expect some major changes in at both assistant coaches and position coaches. No one's job is safe.

While we're at it, there might be some shake ups in management too if Khai Harley or Jeff Ireland take a job with another team looking at their background and accomplishments with the Saints. You know that if they are promoted in another organization they will want to bring their colleagues with them if possible. So, we might see several new faces at Airline Dr. next year besides draft picks and free agents.

Well stated, Rugs! All facts. It seems some are so blinded by hate that they can't see the obvious.

It’s not a matter of being blinded by hate, but more of a matter of having eyes opened by the obvious: consistently poor performance and disappointing results.
