5 week crystal ball
what are your thoughts about the prospects for the next 5 weeks briefly? that will get us to the bye, then the final 7 games which 4 are division ones.
methinks- @ green bay- the pack only 0-4 for only the 4th time in history i think i read. it sounds scary ala going to 0-2 minny. BUT they are awfully damn dreadful. would'nt be surprised to see'em lose but it should be a win. after last week's good play i say yea, 3-2 atlanta- only hope vick gets dinged up more (even tho schaub is looking good). mora looks like a very solid coach to me. maybe SA hometown noise can provide a miracle. otherwise i gotta go to 3-3 @ st.louis- we always play good there it seems. 4-3 miami- the nicktator returns to tiger stadium. going in 4-3 i think the whole back in LA thing with a raucous crowd could provide a spark to get by another team looking like they are coached very well. 5-3 chicago- this has to be the best bet win unless we are 2-6 going in (in which i will be praying for a top 5 draft pick and both haz and brooks gone in '06). damn, 6-3 with a week off, then crunch games, doesn't sound bad. the last 4 years have seen them usually do the opposite of what you expect though. i'll be happy with playoff success or fresh faces either way next season. please oh st. lombardi not 8-8 though. |

RE: 5 week crystal ball
I'm thinking:
Green Bay wins - Saints 2-3 Saints beat Atlanta - Saints 3-3 Saints beat St. Louis - Saints 4-3 Miami wins - Saints 4-4 Chicago wins - Saints 4-5 We're going to be around .500 all season long. The team is just too mediocre. |

.. it doesn't really matter, really...
... the Pack is 0-4, yet only one game out of their division's lead... they can actually end up winning their division with a record below .500... ..the NFC West is no better, with the whiners @ 1-3, again only one game out of their division's lead... the NFC stinks... ..just watch the games and enjoy them, because no matter what the record is at the end, the Saints have as good a chance as anyone not named Eagles or Falcons to make it to the playoffs, even at below .500, which really wouldn't be an accomplishment... |

They should just take the north and west divisions and just tell them they have to have a .500 record to get in the playoffs if they dont then someone from the south or east with one goes !!

New Orleans Saints (2-2) – Sunday was Deuce McAllister at his toughest. After wearing Buffalo's defense down for three quarters, he iced the game late in the fourth by helping run out the clock with consecutive runs of 10, 15, 12 and 26 yards.http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...yhoo&type=lgns
For the Deuce doubters. |
