I feel there have been certain positions that, to their Detriment, have been neglected in the Saints historical draft process. Specifically TE and LB. Going all the way back to watching Shanley get beat, apart from guys we got from other teams (Vilma and Davis) we have struggled to find production there and we spend very little draft capital compared to other positions. Likewise with TE. From Shockey to the Colts guy (I’m blanking on his name) we treat it as an afterthought despite the success we had with the one TE pick that was successful in Graham. I’m glad we signed him and am pulling for him to work out. Doesn’t mean I don’t think we missed on draft potential for the position. |
