Looks like the Falcons may have just lost one of their starting CB's.

Re: Saints Division Foes News - 2023
Last year Vegas had us winning 8.5, the Panthers winning 6.5, and the Falcons winning only 5. They did not know at the time that the Panthers would trade away Christian McCaffery and the Falcons would trade away Deion Jones and bench Mariota to give a 3rd round pick QB a test drive. I called us winning 7. We won 7 and so did the Panthers and Falcons. Vegas just knows what other people are betting. It knows how much Kool Aid we are drinking, not how many games we will win. It's hot. We like Kool Aid.

Re: Saints Division Foes News - 2023
I guess my less than favorable view of mainstream sports media and talking heads is supported by this talking points position video.
Not that drafting a young QB for the long run is not a good strategy, but history does not point to it being a slam dunk learning on the job year 1. Overall don’t see 1st round drafted QB being the end all answer either. But that seems to be the “group speak” mantra. But that seems to be choice by the media, their record speaks for its self. Case in point, not heard much about Bryce Young except, #1 pick #1 pick but little actual evaluation in depth of Bryce’s performance from the media on a national level. Bryce being the starting QB, seems like a long shot and we all know Andy Dalton ceiling. I liked Andy and he was the better choice the the mess of the QB room after Sean’s departure. Also noticed was the detailed accounting of every teams off-season additions of drafts and free agency signings except the Saints. Carr was mentioned early and towards the end a brief mention Kendra Miller and Jamal Williams. Other teams made solid to exceptional signings, really. Nothing else about our 1st round and multiple free agent signings. I realize it’s being reported by local media but we also have a young QB drafted who by all points reporting is one of standouts in training camp. Able to make all the throws, helping draft picks and free agent wideouts get solid reps because he has command of the offense and actually make the throws is affording theses guys solid reps and better chance making positive impression on the coaching staff. Also just recently reported he has the highest completion rate during camp of all the QB’s. Is his future success certain at this point, no, but he has earn a spot on this roster and will be able to learn under his long time mentor. No right or wrong here. I like the chances of success with the Saints approach. I like Carr or not he is a starting QB and even by media Carr is generally rated around 15th best in the league. The other option is QB transitioned into full time backup QB closing out his career being the started while the young gun find his level in the todays NFL or just throwing the rookie to the hounds straight away… Just Saying. |

There are only a few national pundits who actually know the Saints. He's not one of them. Same crap.....different mouth.
