That was a pretty random and Saint-less article.

Sorry, I like to know more about the NFL than just the Saints. But continue to limit yourself if that's what you feel the need to do.
I also happen to like Marc Bulger as a QB, former Saints as he is. |

Wait, I thought that falling behind and playing catchup reduced the validity of good stats. I'm sure I've heard AB bashers say that his stats look good only because of that. Are we going to have to question all of Bulger's stats now too?

As with all Qbs and players for that matter the comparison is going to lie in: what did these record setting performance do to further his team's success? Bulger as a QB just doesn't scare me like Marino did. I use Marino because he was used above and because he is a good example of a QB that did a lot of record breaking, but never really took his team anywhere.
Is Marino a hall of fame QB? (Not is he in the HOF. Is he HOF caliber?) I have to say yes even though he didn't really win any big games. (Maybe 1 or 2) Bulger on the other hand is putting up good numbers, but hasn't quite done anything or been inspiring along the way. I'd put AB in this category. |

He's been to the playoffs a couple of times. That is doing something right? :P
As a gunslinger though, I think he is one of the best in the league. With what he has done, i'd put him in a category above AB because even with the number of sacks he takes, he rarely fumbles. I think the kid is pretty impressive personally, and wish he was racking up these numbers for us. |

I am surprised that the usual suspect wasn't the one who started it though. |

Hmm, I guess you don't read the introduction to forum you visit. Click the Black and gold Country link above. Never mind, i'll do it. First line:
Gotta hand it to you though, when you make something up, you stick to it. Now do you wanna add to the discussion, or just make general random comments that have no value, as normal? I think Bulger has done pretty well for himself, althoughhe never really got the chance here. |
