Re: Saints Pick 2.09 - DE Isaiah Foskey
One could argue that Foskey has greater ability than Turner or Davenport bc the greatest ability is availability. It would be a positive to see the lights come on earlier, and when they aren't, we know they may never be. But, at least he is on the field and he didn't cost a 1st round pick. It may be easier to teach him moves than to teach other players durability. The same issues with Foskey can and have happened with top 10 picks failing to develop, so maybe this teaches the lesson that you want more picks no less because its a crapshoot. Unless of course we are so amazingly deep that we need to trade up because we don't have roster spots for 5 rookies. Haven't heard that one lately and sure didnt look like it against LA. I would rather a player who plays too upright than one who watches too reclined.

Re: Saints Pick 2.09 - DE Isaiah Foskey
The subject of OL depth came up again today on NFL Radio while mentioning the rash of injuries that Chicago has experienced with their starters already. They said there's just no quality depth out there in the league today at those positions. They were mentioning a 40 year old Jason Peters as the best available, if you could even call him that at this point. And the supply is so low that he could still ask whatever he wants and get it eventually.

Like Bako said it’s super early, however BIG PICTURE, I just hope that Saints didn’t swing and miss on a 2rd draft pick. Personally, wasn’t thrilled about the selection but what the hell do I know 🤷🏼 ?
Remember the CB with the fancy french name we selected in rd 2 years back? Stanley John Baptiste …. oh boy. Good luck Foskey. You have work to do. |

I still like the “What the Foskey?!” line that one of y’all started. Lol. It’s perfect if this guy is a bust.

Re: Saints Pick 2.09 - DE Isaiah Foskey
I want to know the circumstances. Its pretty easy to get a sack if Penning completely whiffs on the block or Peat has a funnel cake in one hand and grease and powdered sugar in the other. I hope Foskey progresses over months and years but I am skeptical of a quick fix of one win in practice with no details.
