The first Carolina game after Thomas was lost to his injury. He had four catches in five targets for 105. Olave went 9 of 13 for 147. That was pretty much it.

But no one knows this stat without research.
We don’t have to look up whether or not Olave, Shaheed, MT3, AK, JJohnson or Taysom had good games last season, we just know it.

I’ll give TreQuan this, I was rolling with him towards the end of the ‘21 season. He played some monster games that got overlooked. Then he’s just been ‘ew ever since.

Not really hard. October 16th against Bengals. Thomas, Olave, and Landry all out. Trequan was clearly the most experienced receiver we had on the field. He lead the team in TD receptions and Yards over J Johnson, Kirkwood and Callaway. Johnson and 1 more reception than him.

I saw this on the Twit last night and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I'd have opted out of a picture smiling with a friend who's grandpa is on life support between us. Bad optics.

That said, I'm a big Foskey fan now.

It probably meant a lot to grandpa. My wife is with her soon to be 96 year old mother in basically the same position right now and smiles have been what she's wanted from those that have visited her.

His 10 (1.6)) & 20-yard splits were rated as ELITE according to his RAS scores.

I have to say I disagree with you about it being bad optics. What it shows me is that during what is probably on of the happiest days of his life he is still taking the time to go visit a good friend who is having a lot worse day. Said friend posts about it and I see no issue with that.

I would have had an issue if it was Foskey who posted it himself. Now it was Rask so i'm okay with it. I wouldn't have posted it myself if it was my grandfather but that is Rask's decision.

If it gave the old man and/or his son some solace when they needed it then more power to Foskey! Support for friends at times of need when they are grieving shows empathy and support when times are tough. This type of loyalty and compassion speak volumes about the character traits the Saints value so highly and why they drafted him.

Personally, I would rather see that picture with him being supportive of a friend in need over one of him sitting in a bar with his drinking buddies.

Really good article going into depth about Foskey's visit to his friend's grandfather's bedside. It turns out grandpa knew Foskey really well and was watching the draft in the hospital room with other members of the family hoping to see Foskey get drafted.

Someone always wants to turn a positive thing into a negative one. It makes them feel better about themselves I guess. He was close to his friends grandfather and wanted to see each other again. Make of it what you will. I take away from it that other people are more important to Foskey than personal accolades.

Nothing but formalities. Each of these rookie contracts are tied to what the player drafted before them get as far as guarantees. The salaries themselves are slotted. It's all his agent doing his job to get as much as possible.

If ( big IF I know) Turner and Penning are healthy and show up it would be like adding an additional first round pick to both the O and D lines. Keeping fingers crossed. Injury breaks have to go our way sometimes, right?
