Regarding Hopkins; he would upgrade the Saints Receiving core but if the Saints threw money at available free agents I'd hope they'd go after Frank Clark, Leonard Floyd or even Jadeveon Clowney. All are thirty years old looking to get one last shot at a ring.

Honestly, no. Hand on a bible, cross my heart, and all that stuff. All he ever wrote were 8000 word essays explaining why Loomis sucks. The only time I see anything he posts is if someone else quotes him. And then I still don't read them unless there's no need to scroll. :p

Anywho, ...

All this "Should We.......?" noise reminds me of the expansion Saints.

The Saints committed a colossal blunder by trading the first overall selection to the Baltimore Colts for Gary Cuozzo, the backup quarterback to Johnny Unitas. Cuozzo began the season as the Saints' starter, but lost the job to expansion draftee Billy Kilmer. Cuozzo was traded to the Minnesota Vikings early in 1968.

Baltimore selected Michigan State All-America defensive end Bubba Smith with the first pick. Smith became a star for the Colts, starting at left end for their Super Bowl III and Super Bowl V teams.

With their Second First round pick #26 selected LB Les Kelly from Alabama, played just 3 seasons in the NFL without ever starting.

In 1973 they did it again with the Colts trading the #1 pick to them for Billy Newsome and pick #86 that resulted in the Saints selecting LB Jim Merlow. Baltimore said "Thanks Again" and used the pick to select Bert Jones! Not satisfied they also traded pick#3 to Dallas for LB Tom Stincic,
played a whole 7 games and had 0's in all stats! Dallas said thank you very much and drafted Harvey Martin.

Conjures memories of QB'S Jim Ninowski, Karl Sweetan and Bob Davis

Ahhhh! Those were the days!!!

Worse! John Mecom was the owner who created the blueprint for all the Jurra's in the NFL. Mecom, like Jurra wanted to win but couldn't keep his fingers out of the General Managers "Pie"
