Through Saints history there has been a lot of talent at LB. Even when Payton ignored the position in the draft.
SmashMouth and Rugby Saint II like this.

Yup. More than one way to find talent. Lofton and Vilma, as well.

Speaking of Lofton, when my older son was coaching a USA Swiming team in Metairie, the parents of one of his senior swimmers found out his mother (my wife) had washed a jersey that he had gotten autographed by several Saints players during a training camp practice in Jackson, MS years earlier. It turned out the family lives next door to Curtis Lofton and told him about the incident. Lofton signed a game jersey he had and told them to give it to my son as a replacement.

One of the classiest moves ever. We had it framed for him and he has it mounted on the wall of his home in New Orleans now. One of his most prized possessions.
