Plenty of new addition has made national headlines for the New Orleans Saints. Offseason signings like quarterback Derek Carr, running back Jamaal Williams and tight end Foster Moreau are all sure to have a major impact for the team this year, but one signing may make a larger difference than expected: wide receiver Bryan Edwards.
The 24-year-old pass-catcher has three years of NFL experience including over 20 games with Carr as his signal caller. The two are now reunited in New Orleans that alone could lead to further opportunity with team. But there are quite a few additional factors that Edwards contributes as well. more here |

Re: Saints' New Addition Could Have Bigger Impact Than Expected
Everyone looks good on paper in July.
Some respected football analysts (Cosell, Baldinger) believe this could be Edward's last legitimate shot in the NFL. We'll see & good luck. |

Re: Saints' New Addition Could Have Bigger Impact Than Expected
I don't have any expectations. He hasn't really done anything 3 years into the league. If we can get 20-30 catches from him, I'd call it a big win. If he gets cut after preseason, I don't think anyone would be shocked.
Surprise us. We're certainly going to give him the opportunity to. |

Perry and Shaq seem to have more upside than anybody that we've had on or off the practice squad the last couple of years. The bottom of the roster has potential and there should be six spots open for them to squeeze onto the final 53.

Re: Saints' New Addition Could Have Bigger Impact Than Expected
The more I hear from various reports the more I feel like Edwards will be part of the team this year. He's got good rapport with Carr and has the skills to make the roster over some of the unproven young players. If Thomas goes down the Saints would have a solid backup option if he misses substantial time. Not only that, we have several speed players, but no true 50/50 contested catch WR's outside of Michael Thomas.
