food for thought...
for you brooks supporters out there here's aaron's numbers through week 4 of this season....
Completion % 56.7 Yds 938 Touchdowns 2 Interceptions 5 QB Rating 68.7 (28th out of 30 QB's) Sacks 9 (for -50yds) Fumbles too many.... couldn't find this stat now, i ask you, is this the sort of thing you want to continue to pay money and waste valuable time to watch? i'm no rocket scientist, but after 5 years of being the starter he still has yet to "break through".... we've all heard "this is aaron's year" and "he's going to finally turn the corner as our starter"... well, thus far, and the numbers don't lie, he hasn't turned any corners, he has not progressed as a starter, nor does he seemed interested in turning any corners... why should he? he's getting paid all the same win or lose... |

RE: food for thought...
... I'm not a Brooks supporter...
.. that said, stats mean nothing... you putting up stats to argue against Brooks is pretty much the same as putting up stats to argue for Brooks: useless in my view... Mark Brunell has similar stats, and he and the Skins are 3-0... ... besides, you are going to get bombarded with a ton of other stats proving how great Brooks is, and the numbers are going to fly back and forth, back and forth, until 2-3 memebers start tangoing to the wrong music and a moderator will lock the thread... So, my advice to you, and to all of our illustrious members who read this post is simple: ...let it go. Just let it go... sure go ahead and critique game performances: "he fumbled the snap", "he tossed a bullet on the run against his body", "he didn't run", "he ran", "he smiled", "he cried", etc... but the stat biatch-slapping never ends in anything good... ..besides, not many people on this forum or in Louisiana for that matter are paying any money to see the Saints this year... ... gotta tell you, I am a realist, and as much as it pains me to say it, I don't see how the Saints are going to remain in New Orleans (or Louisiana for that matter) for much longer... if they were having money problems before, now their economic situation has just turned impossible. Right now, I am trying to enjoy the games as much as possible, win or lose... just trying to go back to the feeling of those pre-Benson days when I went to the Dome not so much to see the Saints play but to party with 65,000 friends... |

I thought this game was supposed to be a win?? I don't know we just can't play anymore. I am going to say it!!! Put Boumann in for the entire game and see what happens. We were down what 42-3 before we changed QB's. Come on try something better to jumpstart our game.

i'm not saying that the rest of the team didn't perform, but i'm so f#$king tired of hearing all the pro-brooks s*^t... honestly, it's s#$t or get of the pot for this smiling mother f@$ker!! i mean 6 years for someone to "come along" is far too long... if my job waited 6 years for me to finally get my stuff together i'd be out of job 5 years ago... it's just the fact that he has not (and will not) progress anymore than he has, which is very little if at all.... i know what everyone is going to say, well it's a new off. coordinator, or the line is terrible, or whatever else you want to say, but the fact remains at the end of the day, when you strip it all down, he is not a smart QB and makes too many costly miscues to be the man we need under center.... granted he ain't playing for the best team in the nfl, but don't you think that at some point in the 6 years he's been here he should have shown a little bit more leadership, heart, and intelligence... he hasn't, plain and simple... he has thrown for lots of yds, td's, yada yada yada, i know.... i know, but he doesn't lead the team like good qb's who win do

14 of those points came off ints returned for TDs. We can't just give the other guys points and expect to win either. |
