Haener needs to lose some speed on his fast balls. Never mind.....he was just picked off. Drew liked the throw.

Chiefs 3rd stringers are certainly better than ours.

Five wide spread formation beat us on the goal line. I hope to see us line up in an empty back field more this year and spread out the defense like they just did to us.

Chiefs are 7 yards down the field before a Saints player is even in the vicinity.

Our 3rd string D are not doing great either. Depth is critical. That said, you hope there is never a time it would be all 3rd stringers on the field at one time.

Still.....their third stringers are better. Of course, they are Super bowl champions.

Indeed, his college film is impressive but I've heard zero about him.

Last player to sign from the draft class too.

Haener doesn't look like he's pushing Winston out this year. Next year? Maybe. Let's see how he develops.

Carr played with starters. Winston played with backups. Haener has played with players that hope to make the practice squad. Take that for what it is.

Yep.

The only reason I’m calling him out is that I watched him here in high school (Arlington) and in the state playoffs.

Glad he got a chance to showcase his talent in the NFL.

We'll get a chance to see Haener in the next couple of games. He does look tiny by comparison, however. Subtle difference between him and Jameis ... Jameis likes to tuck the ball in and run, whereas Haener continues to scan the field.

Yeah I saw his failed attempt at a pass rush move there.

Hopefully he improves but maybe he's one of those players that stands out because he's fast for college lineman but not NFL lineman.

I hope we have an eye out for other teams quality cuts. It looks like we pump less talent in to the NFL than usual when we cut players. Usually other teams are salivating over our cuts. And I thought we had better depth this year after all the players we brought in. Yeah. Yeah. They won't make the roster but 24 unanswered points in not inspiring the confidence I wanted from our first preseason game.
