Going to be rocking my new jersey at the game Sunday. Throwback Guido Merkens. The old school Taysom Hill!

For whatever reason. May have something to do with the new 3rd QB rule allowing a 46th player on the gameday roster.

I’m more worried about Thomas being ready to go

I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe he won't be ready at least. How much of an impact remains to be seen, but I bet the dude is absolutely JACKED to get back out there and prove he's still got it.

Personally, I'm more concerned by RB depth, OG, WR (outside of Olave, MT) and seeing how Alonte handles the slot.

Agree with the Thomas take. From everything I have heard or read he looks like his old self out there and he definitely has that chip on his shoulder and something to prove. I'm expecting some short quick passes supplementing the running game to the TE's. I'd really like to see Perry carry over his play to the regular season.

I'm also looking forward to the first mandatory injury report of the season tomorrow to finally get some status updates on a few players.

The Titans may have trouble moving the ball with the league's worst offensive line.

Lifelong/franchise long fan here. I don’t chime in often, but I do read everything.

The only sports memorabilia that I own is an authentic number 19 Saints jersey. And a signed bubble gum card of #19 himself. I am thrilled that our kicker will be wearing number 19 this year. I will be following his actions with extra care of this year. I hope the fact that he is wearing number 19 gets mentioned in the national press at some point.

Long live “the boot”

Nothing would make me happier than Grupe setting a new record wearing that number.

This is gonna be a really tough game. We have no Kamara. The Titans are a rough, physical team. And let’s not forget they do one thing better than anybody else in the entire NFL. Make schedule release videos:

Re: Week One: Titans @ Saints

While we may not have Kamara the Titans have all five offensive line positions with new faces since last season. They are all either new players entirely or changing positions.

Saints 27-13! They will look very good on defense and the offense will produce a lot on the ground!!!

Wow! Hope you are right. With no Kamara and a banged up Miller it’s a bold statement to say the running game will save the day.

Last I looked we have other RB's.

So, you’re claiming having two of your top three running backs out or injured isn’t detrimental to the run game? Interesting viewpoint. Extremely flawed, yet interesting.

Kamara is out. We couldn't really evaluate Miller with no run blocking in preseason other than that he is not great at evading immediate post handoff sacks. At this point I would trust handing off the ball to Taysom Hill more than Miller.

Not ideal, of course, but not crippling. Detrimental, for sure. But to say that the running game can't still be successful isn't carved in stone.

Don't forget we have Jamaal Williams who led the NFL in TD's (17) and rushed for 1066 yards last season. We are not devoid of running talent, including Taysom.

Like I said, it’s a bold prediction IMO. If the offensive is going to step up I’d predict it’s more likely Carr clicking with guys like Olave, JJ, Graham, Kirkwood, Foster and oh yeah, that guy Thomas who you predict will have a bounce-back year.

It gets real on Sunday.

Penning, (LG) .. Peat or Hurst have to win most of those battles.

Tart, Aurty & Simmons (Titans) are LEGIT defensive linemen.

For me, it's all about those battles in the trenches.

This, but it’s also because of the skill player’s ability to make plays (a la Mahomes) when the line breaks down. That’s key because it’s gonna happen at some point in every game. Can we avoid the TOs when that happens now that we’ve moved on from Dalton? Hopefully Carr can make those plays with the weapons at his disposal. Hey, it worked for LA and Stafford, it could work here.
