Re: Kicker
I think Lutz is an average kicker who had a bad day Sunday. Kickers come and go in this league but it would not surprise me if he stuck around awhile. I think having traded a pick for him, the Broncos will give him more than 2 games, unless they keep losing at his fault. I am just glad we have a younger cheaper kicker who has been solid.
I don't agree that making fun of people is all bad. Sometimes friends make fun of each other to get a thick skin. A little fun is good. Everyone being all super polite and sensitive makes pansies. The League was a good show, shows a good example of healthy friendships. Lutz didn't have to be a pro kicker, he chose it, and yeah you make a kick you get free Gatorade on your head, you miss one you get called some names, he could have chosen to do peoples taxes at H&R Block if he didn't want that. I don't know how it could be more obvious that NFL kicker is not the ideal job for anyone who is highly emotionally sensitive to the casual criticism of strangers. Delicate souls need not apply. I like Lutz. I don't think feeling sorry for him will make him make kicks. He blew a game. Now he needs to man up and go win the next game. |
