I DO NOT plan to be mr negative, but if we start sucking and failing this test, y’all can blast away at me. I am cautiously optimistic

Yes.

The Oline and overall run game needs to play better. More screens would be nice. Divisional opponents are never easy.

A team we lost to TWICE last year.

Week to week league at this level but I like our chances.

Yes, we lost to them twice. Once while displaced by Hurricane Ida and missing eight our our coaches for the week and without our top WR's and no Derek Carr. The other when already eliminated with Dalton at QB, Landon Young and Josh Andrews starting at Guard and Tackle. The great Tre'Quan and Shaheed starting at WR. Werner was out at LB.

Just saying!

NFC South related …

Just like that, Falcons AND Tampa are 2-0.

Saints need to take care of business tomorrow night.

Tampa and Atlanta are both better football teams than ours.

And why do you think that? I mean, besides being down on everything our team does, of course. You know, something tangible.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Still waiting! :D

And the teams they've faced are a combined 1-3. It was well publicized that the schedules of all the NFC teams were the easiest in the league. That's why all of these ridiculous projections of the winner of our division being 9-8 or worse. Both of these teams beat teams they should beat, as should we.

Idk about that quite yet. I have to see how the Saints play tomorrow to really get an idea.

Imo, if the offensive line can’t muster up a better performance than last week I might agree with you. But the jury is still out on this team as far as I’m concerned.

I think our defense is decent. I think Carr is good but no QB can be super good without protection. Our receivers are good. But we need a running game.

There’s way too much football left in the season to worry about who the “better” team is right now.

The Saints, Atlanta, and Tampa have all looked good this year. We don't know which is best. The Saints spent more 2024 salary cap to win now in 2023 and will be less well positioned to add talent in free agency and retain breakout stars in the upcoming offseason, but for now we will have to wait further for the season to play out to see who is best. The NFC South is 3-0 against the NFC North so its not clear we are an especially weak division at all, though we haven't played the Lions yet and they haven't played Carolina yet.

No. Right now is EXACTLY the time to figure out who the better team is right now.
