The Saints were feeling real good about themselves after a 38-3 drubbing of the mighty Packers to start the season. They then proceeded to let Sam Darnold have perhaps the best game of his career with a 300 yard, 2TD, 99+ rating day while drubbing the Saints by three scores. But hey, keep those memes coming. Nothing like disrespecting and taking your upcoming opponent for granted to prepare a team for a game. Worked great for Buffalo Monday night.

I remember that one well. We were missing eight coaches plus players that week due to COVID. The team was also in their second week of being displaced due to Hurricane Ida. Ruiz was moved to center and the human turnstile, Throckmorton, was forced to start at guard. Ty Montgomery and Chris Hogan were our starting WR's.

That doesn't seem to shape up anywhere close to where we stand right now, does it?

We gonna kick their asses!

When it comes to Carolina it's best to completely forget what you think you know because the complete opposite is highly likely to happen.

By the way, no amount of respect or disrespect by us fans of our team's upcoming opponent has any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the game anymore than what pairs of socks or underwear we decide to wear that morning.

I’m guessing you were saying the same kinds of things before the team played the Panthers back then too and it bit you.

Can't remember what I was saying, but what ever it was had zero effect on the outcome of the game. But, I would bet that I was extremely confident in a win regardless of the overwhelming odds against us that week, not that it had any impact. I'm always confident in a win.

I don't think that the Saints will be taking the Panties lightly. In fact, I anticipate a hard fought game. Hopefully, with no injuries.....and we should be 2-0 Tuesday morning.

I'm definitely not going to miss facing Horn. Or for that matter, DJ Moore, who the Panthers traded as part of the package to get that first pick.

Yup. Absolutely no way they take this game lightly.

Obviously the team took the Panthers lightly twice last year. Why could it not happen again?
