These numbers really jump out after just two games.

2022 after two weeks: 11 pressures and 1 sack

2023 after two weeks: 48 pressures and 7 sacks

So far I would say the rebuild of the DL is successful.

And this is something really special that needs repeated.

The Saints defense just broke the all-time record held by the Dome Patrol Saints (nine games) by holding 10 straight opponents to 20 or fewer points! That is also the longest current streak in the NFL.

Edit: And this in an era where the offense gets all the breaks.

The sack fumble by Bresee was an amazing play, Adebo just needs to stop getting so grabby.

As I mentioned before the season, this IS an elite defense. Definitely top 5.

Bresee, Saunders, and Shepard were well scouted and fit this team nicely and are making impact plays. Nice job Jeff Ireland.
