Here is how I would define a successful season: Actual successful season: We make the playoffs and either win 2+ playoff games or at least at a minimum for this year to show growth we win the first game by more than 10 and lose the second game by less than 10. Gray area season: We have a winning record, perhaps get a wildcard or the title of a weak division, and maybe if we face a really weak opponent the ball bounces our way in a tight game in the first round of the playoffs and we slay the dragon that is green bay, seattle with drew lock filling in, nyg, etc. But even if all that goes right we get trounced in round 2 and its clear we are not real championship contenders. Unsuccessful season: We have a losing record. If we have a successful season by my standards I will admit I was wrong about multiple aspects of my evaluation of our team. If we have a gray area season you will probably feel we are one player away and need to go all in while I will feel we are an aging mediocre team and need to start fresh with a youth movement and changes at the top, agree to disagree. If we have a losing season I hope you will see that there is no sense retaining a head coach with 5 straight losing seasons in that role who can’t win with the most all-in f-the-cap approach in the league and his hand picked most expensive free agent qb. Obviously I want Loomis gone too if we have a losing season, but at a minimum he would need to fire this coach who you all said had us destined for 12-5 this year and last. |

It's interesting that you bring up name calling because I am fairly confident that I have been (correctly defined) "called a name" a hundred, nay, a thousand fold over what someone may have erroneously interpreted as my doing the same. Yes, by all means, please block me since all you ever post here are uninformed attacks on me anyway. Now, enjoy your day as I plan to enjoy mine. Who Dat!! :bng: |

Ice up Carr.
Not sure what happened to the oline this season. They held up better protecting Dalton last year. This is an experienced group full of 1st/2nd rounders. Expect Todd Bowles defense to blitz until the Saints can figure it out. |
