It’s in the past and there’s no reason to bring it back. Those fans should have never put those bags on to begin with because now we have to hear about it coming back anytime we’re down on our luck. With the draft, free agency, and trades a team can turn it around overnight. This isn’t the end of the world.

We’re not “down on our luck”, we’re an extremely talented team that’s being mismanaged and outcoached at every level. Some of us just don’t like watching bad football from our team, with no promise of it getting much better any time soon. It might not be “trauma”, but after a hard working week, to sit back and watch professionals make a joke of a Sunday, sucks. This AINT gonna turn around overnight. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong.

We all believe the ship could be righted with a coaching change. That could happen overnight. Like I said in a previous thread, we can overcome a weak offensive line with coaching. Shoutout to the Texans.

How many posters have actually worn a bag on their head or had to sit next to people wearing bags? During the early years I've had to sit next to them regularly when I went to the Dome. I am a proud fan who won't Boo my team or wear a bag over my head. If people want to rail on their team that's their business wanting to send a message to the team. As a true fan I would never wear a bag over my head. Although, I would prefer it if those folks would choose to wear wear plastic bags over their heads! :p

Never wore a bag, nor sat next to a bagger. Voiced my True Opinion as a Saint Fan.... :beatnik:

To be honest: The Aints Bag Era was when I became a fan of the team I love. I figured, hell, if Saints fans could STILL show up to the game, as bad as they were, even with bags on their heads in protest... THOSE are truly diehard fans! I really didn't see fatalism... I see passion!

I've seen fake fans for other franchises ("America's Team" comes to mind) who disappear when they're trying to right the ship. Even though I hate listening to it, those that b!t@# & moan but still ride out the storm, still have my respect.

My two sheckles.

Lol, fairweather fans & I live around these clowns.

When the losing starts, they scatter like roaches. Not all, but some.

The whole head baggers deal was grossly over-hyped. There were fewer than 200 or 300 "fans" that wore the bags over a small of a handful of games just hoping to get shown in the TV highlights. Most of them never even understood the meaning of the protest started by Buddy Diliberto.

My issue is with the ones that only show up to b!t@# and moan when things are going bad. They aren't there to ride out the storm. They are using the prevailing winds to navigate their ship of negativity.

We ARE riding the storm. Our ship is not looking sea-worthy. The crew looks uninspired. The captain has no fire. The prevailing winds “just keep doing what they’re doing”.
