AINTS are back!!!

You all know I’m right! I’ve got new headgear to watch the games with and I don’t need a nose or mouth hole, because I can’t breath when I watch them play anyway!!!

This year, they need to be call the Ain’t Even…
Probably need to switch to plastic bags.

This team is worse than the teams that brought on the bag .... maybe something not as masculine. :beatnik:

You guys are nuts. And I'd never wear the bag.

I am not sure if they are Aint level yet, but they are most certainly Ditka level. Hopefully Billy Joe Carr and Billy Joe Winston can help turn things around.

Yeah, we need the traumatized generation out of the way. It’s always a doomsday scenario.

Yawn…Feel free to wallow in sorrow. We are a long way away from a 14 loss season like we were as the Aints. Maybe I’m wrong. Time will tell.

Re: AINTS are back!!!

Honestly, put the whole division in a bag. Nobody in this division is winning a playoff game. NFC Suck. We are just paying way more cap room to suck than the others. Falcons are blowing picks on low value positions. Panthers traded up to get a tiny QB and have no oline to protect him and no picks to get one. Bucs are a .500 type team but have to play the Eagles, 49ers, and Bills and will struggle to go 9-8 and then get killed in the playoffs. The winner of the this division should win some shiny golden bags.

Reality people.... Reality. :beatnik: if you think this bunch can make the playoffs much less have a winning season.... Saints schedule is the easiest of the NFL...and uh, i will let the play and scores speak for themselves.

All win totals provided by Caesars Sportsbook

Easiest overall schedule: New Orleans Saints (win total: 9.5)
Pigskin Win Totals

Take your shot at picking win totals for all 32 teams for a chance to win up to $10,000!
Make Your Picks

There will be opposing teams that are better than expected (and vice versa), but it's hard not to look at the Saints' 2023 schedule and be astonished at how easy it looks. For starters, the division is not at all daunting, with the Panthers (Bryce Young), Falcons (Desmond Ridder) and post-Tom Brady Buccaneers (Kyle Trask/Baker Mayfield) all in transition at quarterback. It's a similar sentiment with the four games against the AFC South. The Jacksonville Jaguars have Trevor Lawrence, but the Indianapolis Colts (Anthony Richardson) and Houston Texans (C.J. Stroud) will start rookies, and the Tennessee Titans aren't as intimidating as usual and could turn from Ryan Tannehill to Will Levis at some point. The Saints also will face a wide-open NFC North division that is without an elite team and no longer includes Aaron Rodgers. As for unique games, the Saints square off against the Giants, the Patriots and the depleted Rams. For added perspective on the Saints' light slate, a look at the latest Caesars odds shows that none of the top seven Super Bowl favorites is on their docket this season.

The other NFC South teams -- Falcons (second easiest), Panthers (fourth) and Buccaneers (sixth) -- join the Saints in having a light 2023 schedule. The Colts are set up with the lightest slate in the AFC, though that might not be enough to snag a wild card in a loaded conference.

Who said playoffs? It was mentioned being the Aints again. You have to admit there is a big spectrum between playoffs and getting the number one pick.

Again Yawn Map. Vikings, Carolina, Jets all have worse records than us. Calling in the Aints era when there are worse teams than you shows you have no conception of how bad the “Aints” truly were.

beg to differ.... i witnessed it from the saints inception to now.... trust me, this team is worse. :beatnik: and that is bad; especially with the supposed quality and talented players on the roster. Billy Kilmer had better days.

At this point, it's all on the position coaches to do their job!

The paper bags and Aints moniker started in 1980 during a 1-15 season. The team was 0-14 at one point. When we hit 14 losses then I’ll take anyone seriously when they start bringing up the “Aints” days.

so not the point.... this team has abundant talent that should be winning and they are not.... the saints of the paperbag era team was not nearly as talented. quite the opposite. PaperBag saints were of TRUE Heart and passion for the game and were gallant... this bunch is ...meh. :beatnik:

Sometimes, it just takes an Aints MOMENT (like what we did right before halftime), followed by losing the game against a team that is almost as bad as us AT HOME, preceded by blowing a 17 point lead in our previous game, with the “just keep doing what your doing” excuse for a head coach babbling on about “Let’s not even go there”, when asked if he plans to change up his strategy… and these moments add up.

A 1 - 15 record might look bad on paper, but this 2 - 2 has some condensed AINTNESS in it, and it ain’t lookin too good for the foreseeable future… but this is just a tired a$$ replay of our conversation from last year.

What’s “worse”, is it’s happening NOW. NOW is what matters, and we AINT what’s happening.

Re: AINTS are back!!!

We are not the Ain't of old but its hard to be the Ain'ts of old with the parity brought by a salary cap and free agency. However, we have a bunch of old men with old ideas running the show. What we are doing now is spending more future salary cap to be sub-mediocre now than any team has before in the history of the salary. If there was a formula to make a .500 team into a cellar dwellar, it would be to break the bank for mediocrity and spend all your money on a lost cause, hire a sub .300 head coach, and lock up an aging QB on the decline to a long term contract for big money when you are not 1 player away. We are trying.

Re: AINTS are back!!!

Carr
Kamara
Thomas
Jordan
Hill
Rasheed
Olave
Lattimore
Graham
Williams
...............:bng:

Pretty good roster...sure i missed a couple or more...
Reality - no touchdowns for more than 7 quarters.

It it were me, as one of them... I am not too proud or happy,,,??

:beatnik: but they all got bank from the fans donation to the NFL as in tickets and merchandise...some fans invested spirit and integrity as well.:bng:

During the early years we'd kill to be a .500 team. We were the laughing stock of the entire league for 30 plus years.

Now we're merely mediocre. Its a long way from the Aint's returning.

I see it too often. All the Saints fans that saw the 70’s to the late 90’s bring up the Aint’s and the paper bags when we’re decades away from those days. It’s in the past and there’s no reason to bring it back. Those fans should have never put those bags on to begin with because now we have to hear about it coming back anytime we’re down on our luck. With the draft, free agency, and trades a team can turn it around overnight. This isn’t the end of the world.

MatthewT 10-03-2023 09:52 AM

Y'all relax please. Reference to the Aints and bags is just a fun way to vent a little frustration, it's not meant to be a serious thing.
