Pete Carmichael might be the worst coordinator in the league (offense or defense). Two stats tell you everything you need to know…

1) “Pete Carmichael's offense doesn't appear to be giving Carr lots of easy answers, either. Carr ranked No. 1 in QBR off play-action in 2021, but the Saints have dialed up just 10 play-action passes for him through four games, which is comfortably the fewest of any team. (The average team has 29.) Carr is 6-of-10 on those throws for 49 yards and two first downs.“ - Bill Barnwell

2) Saints offense ranks last in the league in using motion

PC is one step away from announcing the play to the defense. We aren’t doing anything to disguise what we’re doing pre snap with motion or post snap with play action. Every defender is able to line up exactly where they need to be prior to the snap. Once the ball is snapped they just need to watch Carr’s first move and they know if it’s a run or a pass. PC has taken all the guess work out of being a defender. It’s an embarrassment this organization brought him (and Allen) back this year.

Our coaches have a system that they want players to fit in instead of a fluid system that plays to the strengths of the personnel.

The 49ers and Eagles are better than the Saints. Other than that, talent wise, they should beat everyone else in the NFC. Without winning atleast one playoff game, the whole staff should be fired. This team has the talent.

Pete Carmichael's job under Sean Payton was getting Sean coffee and Pete always executed getting coffee. All DA is expecting is Pete to execute running an NFL offense too. He just needs to think of the football as the Starbucks cup holder and the end zone as Sean Payton's desk and he can be successful. How hard can it be?

You’re probably right however at some point coaches learn how to use their talent effectively. Carmichael has no clue how to call the right plays for the situations our offense finds themselves.

That last drive in the 4th quarter …

We call 4 perimeter vertical passes from the 30 yard line and tried nothing in the middle of the field even with enough time and a time out.

I truly believe coaching is the biggest issue thus far.

Oh well, we have a short week and play a team that can put up points.

We have the play makers and in the open field the offense can move the ball but situationally if we have scheme to put our player in position to win their matchup the chance of success are Slim and None and Slim has been on the road for the 3rd season in a row.

0 for 3 in the Red Zone …. That’s all about the play calling being atrocious and then not helped by penalties.

Personally done with these 2 coaches.

It's offense that's killing the squad. Defense... meh. Yes, they could pressure the QB's more with additional pass rushers, but they are playing well enough to win... but only if the Saints score points.
