…or that we need a new GM… So through a painful bye week, with us sitting at the top of the NFC SOUTH “heap” at .500 Pct, “just keep doing what you’re doing” will keep all the key players in place, which is an EXTREMELY TALENTED group of “Players” who will simply continue to be mismanaged, poorly coordinated and utilized, and basically uninspired to the point that mediocrity might be the best thing we can hope for… for the rest of this season, possibly into the Playoffs, (PLAYOFFS?!?!? ARE YOU KIDDIN ME?!?!?) and beyond…

I just came by to say that we AMAZING FANS deserve better. NOW!

Thank you for taking up my suggestion. I just think you are confounding the idea of not wanting to hear that "We need a new head coach." every other post means that we want to keep the current head coach. I'm just resigned to the fact that there's not going to be any changes before the end of the season win, lose, or draw. So, it's just distracting to have your request repeated over and over in every thread in this forum.

You can see this with the fact this bye week, and nothing has been done with Carmichael. I wish dude would resign since Allen has no intention of firing him.

You should bump this thread each and every day. Add details of specific Allen/Carmichael stupidity moments too.

Hopefully in January you will get your wish.

We need a new GM and a new Head Coach.

I don't believe we have an extremely talented group of players. If we did, I would not want a new GM. I believe we have an extremely expensive roster with mediocre talent. Yes we have a few exciting players but so does almost every other team. Essentially I believe we have a 9 win roster put together on 17 win max spending with a coach who would normally bring that 9 wins down to 6 wins, but a schedule that gets him back to 9 wins.

We go have some talented players but our weaknesses are Oline, QB, and Pass Rush. Our Dline is not the worst but definitely lacks pass rush and isn't dominant. Our roster is built to be 'good enough' at QB, 'get by ok' in the trenches, and dominate everywhere else on the field away from the trenches and except for the QB. That is not how you win championships in this league even if we did have a great coach, so we need a new GM too because this roster is very costly but is not built to win big, just to be 'good enough' to delay Loomis's forced retirement 1 year at a time.

You know it's serious when the college and NFL coaches that could possibly be acquired are just as top of mind as the 2024 draft and free agent class. Heck we'd probably be better with Matt Rhule, a little at least.

We need a new coach is a fact but don't feel the need to hear about it on every other post. I want Allen fired but it's hard to read in every other thread. I know it's good to vent but it's already getting old. Why can't the F O see that? Fire Dennis Allen!!

I don’t care what anyone says, “We need a new Head Coach” isn’t getting as old as seeing the same excuse for a Head Coach on our sidelines every week.

Sean Payton got the Broncos rocking!

From a 1 -5 start to now have a 5 - 5 record and thats against some tough teams too!

He made the Vikings look mediocre unlike our team/coach who didn't really have an answer to their rookie QB!

Hope we can turn things around after having a by week and getting that time to heal some injuries! Guess we will see soon enough!

I should have said that he's not had long at the Vikings, didn't know his way to the changing rooms or many of the players names, playbook etc etc!

Yeah, although he was already in a groove of sorts when he joined the Vikes. He had started the previous eight games with the Cardinals. At least he wasn't coming in totally cold. He beat the Cowboys in week three in a game where he had a 120 QB rating and rushed for 55 yards.

And we took an old QB that was benched by the Raiders with two games remaining in the previous season. He came in really cold.

Whoa!

A good friend of mine is a Steeler fan & we were chatting during the game on Sunday vs Browns. We kinda saw the final straw after it took the Steelers almost 3 quarters before putting up any points on the board :rolleyes:.

Credit the Steelers for getting rid (RARE for this franchise) of a problem in MID SEASON.

Meanwhile Pete Carmichael is still employed as Saints OC.

A groove simply meant he had been playing regularly. It wasn't like he joined the team not having taken a snap all season. Of course, I suppose that was beyond your comprehension what with the medication and all.

John posted a pretty meaningless stat. It's not about where the Saints are statistically (mid pack = mediocre), it's about where they should be with the talent on offense.

I think this has to be taken in context. I think the Steelers have a run first and defensive roster by design. We have a $150 million QB, the Steelers have a draft pick who fell and is cheap. Our receiving core is made up of a veteran star, a high first round pick we traded up for, and a bargain player we found. The Steelers receiving core is entirely bargain players from the 2nd round or later, though Diontae Johnson is getting paid now. We have Alvin Kamara one of the highest paid RB in the league, the Steelers have two RB on rookie contract. Basically we are producing mediocre results with one of the most expensive offenses in the league. The Steelers are producing bottom of the barrel results with a bargain bin offense. To me, its equivalent. Also, our offense is very uneven and inconsistent and seems to frequently disappear for halfs at a time.

Met a former Saint Dickie Lyons today.

Yeah.. he's from way back. Didn't play much for us since he got injured. He said back then they didn't fix blown knees like they do today. He looked good for being 76. Funniest thing he said was that when he got here from Louisville KY, he discovered he could play golf in the winter time. So he never left.
