Side note - AK is getting close to that “30” year old mark. See what offers you could get in a trade. Let him explore the options on playing for a contender.

It sure as hell won’t happen in New Orleans. No time soon.

I’d make sure Kamara and Cam retire as Saints lifers. Everybody else is fair game.

The Saints players gotta be reading the forums because they always quoting things we say.

-The team has no urgency. No cohesion. No focus. No direction. They are without NFL toughness.
-DA should be fired tomorrow. It would give the talent on the team a chance. It would give the fans a little hope. It would make the final six games for us lifelong
fans somewhat watchable.

It boggles the mind that loyal fans are expected to watch what we saw today.
And what will we have to deal with next week?

Lemon law should apply on our used Carr. He’s not worth a $1.

Saints will be in San Antonio soon. At least I’m only an hour and a half away. Hopefully they do it before my contract is up.

Don’t put that bad juju out in the universe. Losing the Saints would completely destroy this city.

Relocate to Mobile or Biloxi.

No Sir. Also, when Gayle passes, the stipulation for a team sale is that it is kept in New Orleans.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…

Presuming the Vikings and Bears both find the endzone tonight, here is the list of teams through the entirety of Div I/NFL football that failed to record a TD for this week - a week where every team plays and no one had a bye:

- New Orleans
- Nevada
- Michigan St

If we had not come off a bye week, or were playing some defensive titan like the Ravens or 49ers, it'd be a little easier to dismiss.

But the hardest thing to dismiss is apparently our coaching staff.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…

My two drachmas:

- I'm not going to go as far as call him Carrbage, but I'm faced with the obvious conclusion that we paid top dollar for a quite average QB. Teams can win with that (Trent Dilfer comes to mind) but not this one!

- ALL of our starting WR's are injured now. Two fresh off of a BYE. That's coaching and conditioning, not just bad luck.

- I'm looking at Cam's face as he's going into the locker room and I see a reflection of how I feel... depressed.

- 5 trips into the RZ against an extremely suspect Clowns D and we have to rely on Grupe's leg to put points up? One or two TD's makes the difference between an ugly loss and sole possession of the South. Pitiful.

-Same ol' sam ol' from the staff. Sorry but if you're coming out of a BYE week, you're supposed to be prepared with some wrinkles to exploit the opposition. Didn't happen on either side of the ball, unless you count a blitz on the first series. Pitiful is an understatement.

- Weakest schedule in the entire league and we're playing sub 500 ball and only winning against the worst of the worst!

Said before and I'll say it again for the record: This team needs an enima!!!

Oh, and before I forget the obvious. No fire. No anger. No heart. No passion!!! (And I'm not talking about trash talk Taylor!) And this against one of your most HATED division rivals...

Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE on this season! Put Winston and Haener in and see what, if anything of pride can be salvaged.

Watch the start of Derek Carr's press conference with the sound off. Concentrate on his body language. Does he seem kind of twitchy and off to anyone else? The first 4 minutes of the video he is also swaying side to side constantly while his eyes dart all around the room, he blinks rapidly, he keeps the brim of his cap low like his eyes are extra sensitive to the light. Just a thought, but could a substance abuse problem explain his performance the last two years? Vegas can be a place where a guy can pick up bad habits if he is dealing with a lot of frustrations and stress.

Carr on the Pick Six:
“He was playing single high and he left his responsibility. You don’t expect him to do that,” Carr said. “You don’t plan on that, for that route. I thought (Rashid) Shaheed made a good decision. But Bates is a good player and he made a great play. Very few times have I told someone good job on a bad play, but that was one where I told him, ‘You beat me. You made a great play.’ It is what it is. It sucks to have that happen."

At NO time did he own his bad decision, rather that the defender made a "great play"? This is this guy's mentality...

As a side note: Have we ever seen him take responsibility for poor decisions? Or is it always him ranting at his receivers on the sidelines? Inquiring minds want to know.

Not really sure what a change in scenery will do to fix this franchise. You can suck in a sexier stadium. Guess what? Yup. You still suck! :smokin:

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…

I listened to the first half on XM Radio. We went to Tennessee to spend Thanksgiving with my youngest son and to catch three of his gigs on Lower Broadway. We left Clarksville at 5:20 AM and made it home in time to catch the 2nd half. Once again injuries decimated us. A.T. Perry sounded like he totally froze in the end zone in the first half. If I was counting right we had six players miss time during the game on top of the injuries we were dealing with coming into the week. Lynn Bowden seemed to have stepped up a bit.

I'll need to check out the play by play to see what I might have missed.

That said, remarkably we still have our playoff destiny in our own hands.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…

Pete Carmichael is the problem. We've been having red zone problems all year, this isn't new. He doesn't know how to call plays in the red zone. I wouldn't be surprised if most of our touchdowns came from outside of the red zone. I don't know the stats, but Pete Carmichael flat-out sucks. I feel more confident with our team on the other teams 40 yd line than the 20 yd line, there is something wrong with that.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…

Not sure if Jimmy Graham was another "healthy" scratch, but you cant tell me he is a worse option than absolutely, anything we've put on the field in the last several weeks in the red zone. It's just painful seeing the futility week to week.

Rashid wasn’t catching that ball, it was thrown 5 yards behind him.

Wait for the JT OSullivan’s breakdown of Carr vs Atlanta.

This guy is throwing hospital passes (see Olave) & terrible reads (pick 6).
Too bad the substitute teacher won’t make changes (bench his a**). INSANITY .

At least Jameis can score points in the RED ZONE..

Now we face a pissed off Detroit team on Sunday.

Derek Carr has been a HUGE disappointment in New Orleans.

I'd rather have this 5-11 Ditka with the accountability and self-loathing than the out of touch facade that Mickey, DA and Carr are giving us right now!

Sounds like a shot at DA's auto-response to me.

If no one gets fired after this game, I will have lost a lot of respect for the management of this team.

They need to have a players only meeting in the end zone instead of conference room B. All the talk is platitudes. With our QB, our receivers, our running backs, our pass rush, the expectation needs to be that if a player does not produce in the first half another player needs to be given opportunity in the second half. I don't care if its Cam Jordan or Chris Olave or Derek Carr. There need to be consequences. People say that a dog is man's best friend. As a head coach, Dennis Allen is both. But you can't win and be every players best friend, you need to establish competition and reward the players who are hungry. Dennis Allen is not capable of that.
