Watch, we get rid of Kamara, Thomas, and Olave while we kick the can on Carr and Allen. Next year we will have a much harder schedule and a more excuse based culture than ever built on Dennis Allen's philosophy of wins dont matter lets throw away the microwave, chop wood, and try bake a cake on an open fire.

Or AK could ask to be traded :(

I mean the guy was a winner in high school (carried his team to a state title), briefly in college under Saban & a lot of success with Brees/Payton. 2 years under Allen (apparently all he does is chop wood ), just a lot of losing & excuses with no change.

It would suck, but hey I'd understand.

Loomis screwed the pooch when he hired DA. Let him fix his mistakes. He seems to be pretty good at it. Maybe he just needs a fresh voice whispering in his ear.

I'm beyond giving Mickey the benefit of the doubt because we are in complete stasis with the way he's managing the team, with both our coaching staff and our players. The few moves we do make are reactive at best. Nothing done at the trade deadline despite all the warning signs. Little no workouts/tryouts at positions of need, just the perfunctory moves to backfill for injuries. The JPP signing was the most noteworthy move made, and he's already left.

Now if we reach the offseason and Mickey changes his tune and makes changes and says he isn't satisfied with the results on the field and we're going to try a new approach and he makes considerable moves to back up those words, I'd certainly change my tune on him. But as mentioned before, I fear Mickey is more concerned with being "right" than being a winner as he demonstrates it with both actions and words.

If he doesn't fire everybody this offseason then I'm probably onboard with going in a fresh direction under a new GM. That means a full rebuild! Personally, that scares the hell out of me!

The problem with firing everyone is that it's not an easy task to replace a recently competent staff. I don't want to become the Browns or the Aints(again) and keep running through a vicious cycle looking for the right combination of good management, coaches, scouts, and other essential personnel again.

Be careful what you wish for! You just might get it!

And what do ya know… his 5-7 is the best record of his career.

His most recent statement to the media (Katherine Terrell) about Jimmy Graham being "inactive" is a microcsm of what is wrong with Allen and why he will NEVER be even an average NFL head.

Even with this so called "easy" 2023 schedule, we are losing to backup QBs, & having already lost to Tampa AND Atlanta.

Currently a game below .500

He is what he is. A below average HC with an average QB.

And it's a stretch to consider Carr an average QB at this point. Trying to get an accurate pass out of him is like trying to get the government to disclose UFO info.

I honestly don't know what to make of Carr. With Gruden he was above average. With any other coach he's been... sufficient. I don't think he has the "it" factor so since the Saints are stuck with him they need to get a smart, demanding coach that knows how to use the whole team to win.

This is the NFL. Teams come out of "nowhere" every year to become contenders.

They do, just not us. Not this year, not last year, and the way things are (not) shaping up, not next year. Pathetic Management…
