Re: Michael Thomas deletes account after criticism for insensitive comment about Derek Carr’s injury
Talented player, but social media definitely has taken a chunk of his brain.

Re: Michael Thomas deletes account after criticism for insensitive comment about Derek Carr’s injury
Michael Thomas being a bad teammate does not cost the Saints $150 Million. Derek Carr being a bad QB and Mickey Loomis being a bad GM do. Most players on the team know Thomas is right, so any actions against MT will backfire and split the team. As for MT moving on next season, that made sense anyway. I expect AK will too. Dennis Allen is building a roster of 'glass half full, don't care if we lose' weaklings in the model of himself. Carr is a perfect fit as long as DA is here.

Like Moscona said earlier ... "no one fears the baby sitter".
This is the result when you have a substitute teacher in charge. He's destroying a positive culture in less than 2 seasons. |

Re: Michael Thomas deletes account after criticism for insensitive comment about Derek Carr’s injury
I've been thinking a bit more about this. Thomas' comments aren't coming in a vacuum.
Thomas made some of his own mistakes regarding Ankle-gate, but I'm convinced the front office made just as many and probably more over the previous years. So Mike tries to put it behind him, become a better teammate and leader, only in recent weeks to see Carr's inaccuracy directly lead to injury to himself, Shaheed and Olave in a very short timeframe. And Carr is untouchable and protected by the coaches and FO. Why would he fear retribution? The organization has not made one major change all season. They can't even cut their bust draft pick Penning. Not a fan of doing things via Twitter, but putting myself in Mike's shoes I can certainly see where the apathy is coming from. |
