Same. As soon as he did that, I lost all respect for the player and wanted him off the team. Still do. I don’t cheer for him that’s for sure.

Such a fall from grace... what a shame .

I turned to my twin brother when we drafted Thomas and said that he was going to sell a lot of jerseys. Too bad he couldn't stay healthy. He was on pace for a shot at the HOF. Also, he didn't really become a Diva until after he got hurt and was still craving the attention.

Re: Michael Thomas deletes account after criticism for insensitive comment about Derek Carr’s injury

I don't believe Thomas will ever stay healthy again and I don't believe he is even so elite when healthy any more. I strongly wanted us to get out of his contract.

However, when he criticized Derek Carr, my opinion of him improved a lot. It showed he is not one of DA's microwave society chop wood guys. So even though he would likely contribute very little on the field, I would still rather move on from other expensive veterans first if the cap savings is the same. However, I predict that we will move on from Thomas and Kamara because they critized the status quo and we will keep other lousy vets because they are 'team chop wood.' Next time Carr needs to be criticized to wake up from the status quo there will be nobody on the team to do it, just a bunch of losers in the mold of DA and ML who believe .500 is excellence.

The fact is that the best thing Michael Thomas has done for the Saints in the past 4 years is publicly criticize Derek Carr.

I’d throw Carr, Carmichael, and Allen under the bus too. I wish the whole team would.

After watching Mahomes and Lamar this weekend, the thought of opening next season with Carr, makes me sick.

Alvin Kamara warned the reporters (Nick, Brooke and Triplette) months ago ...

I'm kinda over Carr, especially after his smart a$$ comments to Underhill & the lack of accountability when things went south for the team. Not what I expect to hear from a guy wearing the C (see Demario) on his jersey.

Saints have work to do. From top to bottom.

Is it time to rename Lamar Jackson, LaChoke Jackson? Is he the equivalent of Dak, Romo and others like them?

K Major 01-29-2024 09:57 AM

Re: Michael Thomas deletes account after criticism for insensitive comment about Derek Carr’s injury

It was kinda weird to see the Ravens unravel like that. Especially with that defense (held Chiefs to 17 total points).

Turnovers, bad penalties, dumb fouls on Mahommes etc.

KC took away their run game. Credit Spaggs.

I wouldn't put it all on Lamar though. The team was more of the "choke". Outplayed, outcoached and out bullied.

Now Thomas is tweeting the quiet part out loud!!!

The Ravens getting pass-happy brought out the worst in Lamar. One of the worst games they coached all season.

Still, Derek Carr couldn’t hold a candle to Lamar, Dak, Romo, and others like them. So there’s that.

I wouldn't say he choked. He lost to the new 🐐. No shame in that.

I’d take Lamar and his coaching staff in a heartbeat, to open up next season.

Yup. They lived on the run game all season long and then abandoned it early.

Doesn't this point to proper game planning by the Chiefs? Force LaChoke Jackson to pass ?

Great point, which illustrates the master chess game that the Saints Staff is unable to do properly.

Kansas City didn't do anything to force Jackson to pass. The Ravens abandoned the pass game down only seven points with 10:56 remaining in the 2nd quarter. There was nothing that the Chiefs were doing different defensively that should have mandated this move. Nor was the status of the game such that the Ravens had to hurry things up with the score at 14-7 with almost 41 minutes remaining on the game clock.

This was simply bad playcalling on the part of OC Tod Monken. He's been raked over the coals more than once already on NFL Radio and X (aka Twitter) this morning. Probably catching the same flack elsewhere, too.

Whatever coals any championship coach gets raked over after a loss in the playoffs, should have scorched Dennis Allen’s a$$ last year, and sent him packing.

Thomas needs a fresh start badly, for his sake and ours. Too much baggage built up now and good chunk of it is the Saints own fault. Don't want him back.

And I’m sure he will do fine elsewhere. Out of vengeance if anything. But I have zero issues with him moving on. He was awesome until his ego got bigger than the team.

His return to the Saints in 24 is much like his status on game days…Doubtful or out.

I'm going to need to setup a Twitter/X account and start using it for the first time ever this year since I'm starting my own business.

Really not looking forward to some aspects of that.

It's absolutely the best source of up to the minute news as long as you find those best sources to follow. What used to be written and published in print and then later posted once a day online is now shared virtually as it happens on Twitter. Twitter is by no means infallible, but it can't be beat for timeliness. It also has a way of self-policing content. If someone posts bogus content or even slightly incorrect content, it is usually sniffed out quickly. That's something that doesn't happens with blogs since it is controlled by the blogger themselves.

Oh, and best wishes with the business! What sort is it?

It will be a new fantasy football service blended with gaming elements and several different scoring modes. I'll be letting you guys know plenty about it this summer once the web site is ready.

Sweet! You know many other guys in that business? I've been into the fantasy game for almost 30 years now and have known and competed against many that have been involved in the business for just as long. My username came from a long since extinct website known as FantasyAsylum. I used to be known as simply Guido and FA merged with another site that I had already been with and they were moving all history along so my username had already been taken, by myself. LOL! I added the Asylum to the end and have used it everywhere ever since. Still keep in touch with many of those guys, and gals.
