Nor was the status of the game such that the Ravens had to hurry things up with the score at 14-7 with almost 41 minutes remaining on the game clock.

This was simply bad playcalling on the part of OC Tod Monken. He's been raked over the coals more than once already on NFL Radio and X (aka Twitter) this morning. Probably catching the same flack elsewhere, too.
Whatever coals any championship coach gets raked over after a loss in the playoffs, should have scorched Dennis Allen’s a$$ last year, and sent him packing.
