Preseason this year did not go as well as it could have when Haener played, but again he was playing primarily with backups at best, practice squad players and roster cuts. Giving Haener a couple or 3 games play with the starters this season would definitely show us if the young man has the it factor or not. Either way we still draft a QB just where and how aggressive the Saints get would depend on how Haener plays IF given playing time. I do not think there will be a move to release Carr after this season regardless if Allen remains the head coach or hopefully both Allen and Carmichael have been replaced. First Kamara then Saunders exposing the lack Offensive and Defensive pregame scouting and game planning that does not prepare the players for what they will see from the opponents. So as Saunders stated after 2 or 3 series we figure it out and our play shows how we can play if we had been prepared better to paraphrase. With Carmichaels lack of scheme, consistency in his use of our playmakers, game planning, play design, play calling and in game flow play calls in my opinion just does not allow this offense operate efficiently. Carr has not played up to expectations but who has on the offensive unit over that last two seasons, QB’s?, running back?, receivers?, offensive line?, and it’s getting worst. Add to this mess Allen’s defense is not anywhere close to where it has rank in the past. There is only one constant in this equation … coaching. Regardless of how this season end changes need to happen and hopefully, the next coaching staff can evaluate and decide who stays and who goes as we move forward. Jus saying WhoDat67 |
