TRUE, but when have the Saints taken advantage of a situation like that and not choked?

We’re just delaying the inevitable collapse and rebuild. This is not the wildcard Giants that get hot at the end of the year and beat the patriots in the superbowl.

This team was terrible for most of the game. Carr was trash. I wasn’t there but I’m sure he got booed. Constantly. It’s just weird we keep him in when he is just awful.

I’m sure he’s a nice guy. But good grief.

I know many fans have a undying devotion to want to get to the playoffs. But after watching the other games yesterday, this isn't the year for it.

My hope is that the Saints beat the Failclowns on Jan 7 but miss the playoffs because the unlucky sucker that ends up winning the South this year is set up for an ass beating and a quick playoff exit by whomever finishes second in the East, likely the Cowgirls.

When it comes to the only team I've ever supported and for the last 35+ years, I have NEVER taken this stance, but I think losing out is the best option for this team to have any hope of moving beyond the current coaching staff and QB

Making the playoffs with this team, those coaches, does absolutely NOTHING.

Like Underhill stated last night, the Saints need better draft picks, better players and a real PLAN in 2024.

As a fan I only care about the next game. I have always, and will always, want my Saints to win that game with every ounce of my being. What happens next year is next year. There's no guarantee any of us will even be alive to see what happens.

I was there and I wouldn't say he got booed. There was a smattering of boos at a couple of points, but they were directed at the playcalling. There was lots of talk in our section about Carmichael needing to go. Same thing at halftime around the common area. I thought Carr looked as good as could be expected given the vanilla playcalling and the pressure he was constantly receiving. 18 for 26 passing (69.2%) is always respectable. This is the 2nd straight game he's come through in the red zone, as well.

Agreed. Why would the Quarterback get booed? Consistently missing open reads, yelling at players, throwing passes to Offensive lineman... That's on Carmichael for sure.

This Saints team just played argubly the worst team in football it was a one score game (14-6) into the middle part of the 4th quarter.

What New Orleans seems to have a lot of are "fans" that live in the moment and truly don't understand that winning at this point hurts the future. But a "win is a win" and they can have it.

This team looked HORRIBLE against the Panthers. Bryce Young doesn't even look as though he's an NFL caliber QB & that team is a dumpster fire. Highly compensated DCarmaxx was slightly better but that ain't saying much.

We just played a 1 win team & it was a one score game into the middle of the 4th quarter.

Not sure how many tuned in to MNF but the Packers (a team we lost to) took it on the chin to a 4-7 Giants team. Better believe the Packers will make changes with their coaching staff ... soon.

But the Saints way of thinking ... yah, let's celebrate and give out game balls after beating a 1 win team :rolleyes:. MINDSET.

With this coaching staff, good luck winning the division :brood:.

I have no issue with other's viewpoints. What I do have an issue with is the incessant b!tching and moaning and flooding of a once informative and productive forum with the same drivel non-stop. It has indeed run off many members. That is the hate to which I refer. Every thread, every post is turned into vile.

I've had that sinner dude set on ignore for months and have no intention of changing that status anytime soon. I no longer care what he says or doesn't say any longer. His schtick grew old quickly.

And I occasionally tell other fans why I disagree with their opinions and why I feel they are wrong. You know, a rebuttal. I have no problem with their rebuttals so why should they have them with mine? It's a two way street, no? Others tell me why they don't agree with my rebuttal and as long as it is civil then fine.

I also agree with other's stances on a regular basis which draws the ire of some for some convoluted sense of logical direction.

But you are correct. There are sharks out there. An apt description.

The fun part about being set to “Ignore” by you, is I still get to witness your rose colored glasses view of our poorly managed organization and your absolutely meaningless and uninspiring data points (Yawn….) and I get to play Stephen A. Smith to your hypnosis. It’s both therapeutic for me, and possibly humorous for other members who might be feeling down or downright insulted by what “all the right people in the building” put together for us to enjoy (less than you) for the last two painful seasons, and possibly a few more.

It’s just a freaking game, and one that our team has been mismanaged and coached to play badly. Have fun with it Polly.
