Re: If the Saints lose, don’t blame the Girod Street Cemetery
That was a good read, Smashmouth. It's a good break from the bickering here, of which I am guilty.
The city of New Orleans is a conundrum. I enjoy visiting because of the history but I made the mistake of bring my family to the French Quarter in 2018. When we sat down for dinner, the sun was up. It seemed that immediately after we placed our order the sun went down. Where I'm from, regardless of the season, it takes a long time for the sun to rise and set. After dinner, I led my wife and three kids -aged 10, 12, and 13- through the Quarter with my head on a swivel. This was during the Tricentennial mind you so with the multiple fireworks being lit it was extra noisy. I've never been that stressed out in my life. I do like the city, though. For many reasons. My town has few food options and the food quality is usually subpar due to the lack of competing restaurants. So when I visit, I am an absolute glutton. |
