Saints at Bucs GAMEDAY THREAD

1 Attachment(s)
Here we go again, the Saints travel to Raymond James Stadium to play the Tampa Bay Bucs for a game that has playoff implications and could help determine the NFC South Division. The Saints would need to win to stay in the wildcard hunt, and beat the Falcons next week for a change to win the NFC South. A Bucs win today would eliminate the Saints from playoff contention and seal their NFC South champs designation for 2023.

Where: Raymond-James Stadium Tampa, Florida
When: NOON
On TV: FOX

Hard to be in this ridiculous mathematical prediction AGAIN, and cannot honestly say that we even deserve to sneak into the playoffs, but as usual, I’d love us to WIN TODAY, just so I can watch a decent FOOTBALL GAME.

I KNOW that the Bucs are ready for this one.

Re: Saints at Bucs GAMEDAY THREAD

In my opinion Mickey Loomis is a PR guy first and a football guy last. In light of that, I was thinking about how he would do PR cover for Ram going on IR, to soften the blow. Before Lattimore went on the IR he made a symbolic signing of Jason Pierre Paul for one week as a big name, even though Pierre Paul had not had more than a sack or two in years and was irrelevant. Then he announced Pierre Paul's elevation to the active roster at the same time as sending Lattimore to the IR.

So, I think I figured out how Loomis did PR cover for sending Ram to the IR. He probably knew it was going to happen well ahead of time, and time was running out to announce it so Ram could have surgery. So, Loomis passed Kamara in the hallway and noticed the slightest sniffles, like basically 50% of the country has right now. He turned to Kamara and said "your not practicing today, you are questionable." Walla, a couple days later the news is "Ram is going to the IR, but Kamara is now expected to play!" and instead of "not again" the narrative is "you win some you lose some."

I don't like Loomis, but I will admit he is good at PR. If we had someone good making all the football decisions, I would not mind keeping Loomis around to manage PR stunts when something the hard football choice isn't popular.

I for one have tired of the PR stunts. Give me the brutal truth like Mora Sr. would.

I guess we'll see if Kamara has a Jordan-flu game in him today. Might be our best shot.

Yes Bradshaw said that in the pre game. I type from 1min memory so its possible I got wording slightly wrong, and his actual quote continues on about $150 million and not going to win with him. Then they talked about Mayfield being a better value.

Typical Saints.

Penalty extends a drive, then let up a big play

That was not a facemask at all. Bad call. Horrible call. His hand was on the top of his helmet.
