The last time I remember the Saints getting "help"

1990

The Saints and Cowboys entered the last week of the 1990 season tied at 7-8 but the Cowboys had already beaten the Saints 17-13 so they had the tiebreaker if the teams finished the season tied.

The 7-8 Saints hosted the 5-10 Rams while the 7-8 Cowboys traveled to play the 4-11 Falcons.

The Saints had to finish ahead of the Cowboys for the Saints to make the playoffs that year and that was exactly what happened...

ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL that our (MIS)management has put the loyal fans in this position, AGAIN. And here we are…

They don't need to, but it can happen. But, I can absolutely see Chicago beating Green Bay and Arizona just beat the Eagles on the road so I can also easily see them beating Seattle in Phoenix. That's all we need to get the wild card.

You might be right. I don't remember us ever being on the right side of a true playoff bubble. 1990 is a few years before I latched on and became a fan!

That's it?

Shoot. We're in the driver's seat!

Too soon. I still have PTSD from all the candy over Christmas.

At least we can say we didn’t try hard enough…

OMG Sinner! I laughed out loud! That is Hilarious! But Unfortunately, It's True.....

Edit: I wish I could like this twice.

I fail to see any humor. It appears I'm not missing anything having that sinner guy on ignore. ;)

Saints always do this. Rely on other teams.

Maybe if they didn't blow an 18 point lead at Green Bay.
Maybe if they didn't let Joshua Dobbs tear them apart and then subsequently get benched a week later.

Only themselves to blame if they dont get in.

Easiest schedule in the league.

If you’re expecting the Bucs to lose to the Panthers or BOTH the Seahawks and Packers to lose in addition to the Saints winning?

That disappointment would be on you.

This 2023 team and coaches did it to themselves. Shouldn’t even been in
this position to end the season.

Based upon last year's records. Several of those teams greatly exceeded last year's production. The Saints still underproduced, but it wasn't quite the easy path that the mostly useless "strength of schedule" factor implies. The Bucs, Falcons, and Panthers had virtually the same schedule and floundered as badly or worse.

Clearly, your ignore function is malfunctioning.

Translation: We sucked last year. We suck this year. We’re gonna suck next year. And I’ll find ways to justify it.

Maybe that's because you only got to read the punch line. I guess there are downsides to blocking people now and then. I wouldn't know. The only one I ever ignored is gone now.

That’s why I won’t stop bothering him.

Looks for both games to be close for 3 quarters to keep up the drama/ratings.

I expect both the Saints and Panthers to win today. That’ll keep DA (and I wonder if it stands for something besides Dennis Allen) in a job a while longer.

There will be pain…

We will get no “help” from Carolina.

They are running the ball almost every play. They are in “hurry up and end the season” mode…

So much for the idiotic “wear a panthers jersey under your saints jersey at the dome” campaign.
