Packers game and reflections on a very tough season
I want to start by saying, for self indulgence, that this was a very tough season for me…and it had little to do with the team’s record. With my father dying in September, I ended up having to shut myself away, and did not watch any of the games after about week 7. I just couldn’t do it. Win or lose, I felt empty without my Dad there to celebrate/mourn with.
But my Father’s passing has brought my oldest brother and I closer. So some good has come. I mentioned to him that the Green Bay game was the key to the downfall of the season. we had a 17 to 0 lead. Then our quarterback gets crushed and injured. We miss a makeable field goal that could’ve given us a win. Instead we lose a heartbreaker and have our starting QB very limited. That sent us into a tailspin that never righted itself until Carr got somewhat healthy. I don’t see that the team ever quit playing hard nor quit on DA. That’s not saying I want DA as the coach going forward. Just food for thought. |
You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora
