Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
Dennis Allens record speaks for itself.
Always manages to make others the scapegoat somehow. I remember being impressed with his speech when he was hired, should have known then that that's all he is. A good talker, and an awful head coach. |

If I ventured off into conspiracy theory land, Loomis has enough good standing with both the city and league to garner the favor and financial backing to make a run for the team. His net worth is +/- 80MM with 23 years with the Saints and 16 years with the Seahawks (nearly 40 years as an executive in the NFL). A lower valuation for the franchise works in his favor since his net assets are not what most team owners is. |

Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
I had a candidate to replace Pete Carmichael but unfortunately he passed away. His skills include getting people coffee (Pete's job under Payton), being physically meek enough to not intimidate or threaten Dennis Allen, and being at least 60 years old to fit in with Allen and Loomis.

Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
Thanks for many great years Pete.
A long tenure will have peaks and valleys. I hate that your serviced ended on at a low point especially knowing how close the team came to multiple Championship opportunities but unfortunately, it's time... Good luck to you in the future. |

Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
When you get to Denver tell Payton I said thanks for the good times before he left.

Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
Anyone know why Doug Marrone kept his job with that awful offensive line and Burns loses his job while having a roster of late round/UDFA picks

That MFer smacking his gum yesterday had me wondering if he did a couple bumps before the press conference. I couldn't listen to anything he said.

Re: New Orleans Saints part ways with three assistant coaches
DA shook up the defensive coaches last year. This year it's the offense getting the makeover. Next year, if we're lucky, we get a new head coach.
