It appears the Saints get three 5th rounders in compensatory picks.

Will it be spent adroitly?

I read a good bit on this guy and I don’t remember that ever being mentioned about him. I went back and found this….

“Displays a stout anchor and lateral mobility in pass protection, effectively neutralizing speed-to-power transitions and reacting to defensive counters.

And then this…

Built like a big NFL guard but protects like an NFL tackle.

Firm inside hand and consistent arm extension help negate rush momentum.
Possesses true knock-back pop with heavy hands and explosive hips.
Turns early advantages into quick knockouts with his furious finishes.
Upper-body power to catch, turn and seal play-side edge setters.
Grip strength allows him to save blocks that start to slip away.

Doesn’t seem slow footed to me at all. He also has stated he wants to play LT.


Kubiak system apparently uses a zone scheme, and that just so happens to be what Alabama used if I’m not mistaken. I would not be upset at all with this pick.

Explosive & has elite speed (4.33). Also had really high RAS scores.
Has pass catching (played some WR in college) experience as well.

Take a flyer at him on Day 3 (rounds 4-6).

There's been another adjustment to the compensatory picks.

The NFL made an adjustment to the compensatory pick formula for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, which moved what was a sixth-round pick for the Cincinnati Bengals up to a third-round pick at No. 97 overall. So what’s the ripple effect for the New Orleans Saints?

Ultimately, this also moves the remaining compensatory picks behind 97 overall down one spot. The Saints began with picks at No. 167, 169, and 174, which will now all move down to 168, 170, and 175.

After this adjustment, here is what the Saints’ 2024 draft picks are looking like:

Round 1, Pick 14
Round 2, Pick 45 (via Denver Broncos)
Round 5, Pick 150
Round 5, Pick 168 (compensatory)
Round 5, Pick 170 (compensatory)
Round 5, Pick 175 (compensatory)
Round 6, Pick 190

Or maybe they go with Verse (Fl St) or possibly Lata (UCLA).

If Dallas does indeed end up with Atlanta, I hope he sucks :p
