This goes back to why the draft is CRUCIAL (long term success) for the Saints.

Detroit have 4, 5 guys playing like pro bowlers on rookie deals.

Campbell, LaPorta, Branch, Gibbs, Jameson Williams, St. Brown ... IMPACT PLAYERS.

Not to mention having an above average oline.

If you truly want to compete in late January & not have to "hope" and "scoreboard watch" at the end of each season, gotta start hitting in the draft and finding guys that fit in free agency.

We haven't sniffed the post season in almost 4 years now
