Side note on Taylor … he played poorly at slot, gets beat and you bench him.
Then put him back to his natural spot (boundary) and he gets picks. Can’t be mad at the player. Be mad at the coaching. |

Re: Klint Kubiak could be the Saints new OC
Not that it matters at this point because I believe the Saints got a rising star at OC, but I’m curious to see if they believed he was the guy all along or did they have there eyes set on another prize and couldn’t make it happen and settled for Kubiak. Thoughts!!

Re: Klint Kubiak could be the Saints new OC
With the offensive mind of Kubiak, it will interesting to see the approach.
Do they fill "needs" in Free Agency? For me, it's the draft. You gotta start hitting on these picks though. IMO you need another 2017 draft to become relevant down the road & compete with the big boys in late January. Ramz, Kamara, Marcus Williams, Anzalone, Hendrickson type players ... |

Re: Klint Kubiak could be the Saints new OC
My guess is they had a list of acceptable OC's they liked and interviewed most of them (due diligence). I assume Kubiak was on the original list. They may not have had them ranked in any particular order, but they'll never tell.

Re: Klint Kubiak could be the Saints new OC
I can't remember were I saw them, but I read a couple of different sources say that the Saints had Kubiak on the radar from the beginning. Like you said, Danno, due diligence would require interviewing every possible candidate along the way.

Can’t be mad at the player. Be mad at the coaching. Apply this to the "Forcing the ball to Olave" thread.

Re: Klint Kubiak could be the Saints new OC
I love the move. His dad I always that was a great OC, never a big fan of him as a HC. I just hope the Saint can find an OL coach or Kubiak has the scheme to utilize penning and other young lineman. Imagine if these guys can become just average to above average and not force us to go big in free agency at that position. Seems like the only way to get through this salary cap hell is to start hitting on these younger guys. Go big on the Dline and that’s it.
