Don't disagree... still in the latter Montana years, one had to admire Joe's talent and ability to close out games, even though he hurt us countless times in the closing minutes, even if Bobby Hebert was the great choker before the Tony Romos and Dak Prescotts of the world.

Anyone who is a fan of the game of football, has to show respect for what Montana/Rice were able to accomplish, or any team that could “manage” to operate at that level, even (especially) when they were/are able to burn our team in the process. That’s the game. As we remain mediocre at best, our hatred for teams that remain competitive at the championship level, does nothing at all to make us better. Not as a team, and certainly not as fans of the game of football. Oh and Purdy is awfully purty.
