Dude, it ain't going to change. It's the way the Saints, and many other teams, have chosen to do business. Even if your dearest dreams come true and Loomis gets hit by a bus his successor will continue that same method of their choice. But, keep it up if it's all you have to live for. ![]() |

I have a life. I have reservations Monday taking my kid to Disneyland. There is going to be a parade that day. You know who will not be in it: Loomis, DA, or Carr. Despite your predictions! My predictions are accurate, so I have a happier life, because I am not disappointed, I just recognize the bad choices other people make and call them on it. The rest of the league is not run like the Saints. That trendsetter thing is a delusion. We are about double over the cap as any other team in the league. Other teams are able to cut or trade aging players to free up future cap. The 49ers finished the season $30 million under the 2023 cap and are in the Super Bowl. The Bucs and Rams took cap hits to move aging vets for a brighter future and both made the playoffs over us. The Broncos cut Russell Wilson instead of restructuring his deal to get him help. Other teams restructure a contract here and there and occasionally go over the cap in a peak win now year, but they also rebuild and cut players and keep flexibility. Mickey is a horse with blinders on who can only push forward even if he has run off the track. |
