Considering the draft capitol spent on the offensive line the way they performed was inexcusable. It almost looked purposeful. |
Re: MORE MUSINGS FROM THE NEGATIVE
I can understand how some will point at injuries as the prime culprit in underperformance, but every team in the league gets bit by the injury bug and still finds ways to overcome the adversity and win! (Especially against weak teams!) If our injuries are substantially more than other teams, then don't you think the team needs to carefully analyze the types of injuries that are occurring and look at how they're preparing? (I'm looking at the position and conditioning coaches here.)
The excuse/reason of 'well, there were injuries', however true, rings hollow after several seasons of the same. |

What's even more frustrating is that the 2023 Saints were relatively healthy the majority of the season. Injuries are part of this brutal sport. Find better depth (see Niners, Dallas, Detroit, Rams) because a starter will go down. I'd move on from players (depth pieces) like Baun, Garcia & James Hurst. Hopefully Klint has a solid plan on offense in 2024. |

63-79 as a starter in Oakland/LV. 9-8 in New Orleans. 10 years in, I think it's safe to say his body of work is mediocre at best. |

Some would argue that the 49er's took a deadly hit via injury to Greenlaw in the Super Bowl. They didn't have the depth to replace him. I believe they were up by 10 when he went down.
