Re: Chase Young to undergo neck procedure

Just a wild guess, but the procedure could be something along the lines of the following:

Cervical foraminotomy is a surgical procedure done to relieve the symptoms of a pinched nerve by enlarging the neural foramen, and it can be performed in a minimally invasive way. The neural foramen is an opening where nerve roots exit the spine and travel throughout the body.

The timeline for recovery sounds pretty much in line with what we're hearing. It says several weeks to return to normal activity for the average patient. I'd imagine getting back in playing shape for an athlete might be a bit longer so the 3-4 months that I read for Young seems reasonable.

The stinger that he reportedly suffered could have been a pinched nerve instead.

And the Saints “could” win a Super Bowl, possibly under new ownership and management, maybe a decade from now…

But then again, “Winning championships is not the goal”.
