... nothing new, really... pretty much just common sense...
.. I really hate to even think about it, but I see the situation pretty cut and dry. There is no stadium, and there's not going to be a stadium withinat least the next 3 years. And even if there was a stadium, there's no fan base. Benson is not going to get his 15,000,000.00 a month. The NFL is not going to stop Benson from moving the team. The NFL will stop him from moving to San Antonio, but not from moving the team to a bigger market. Bad P.R.? What bad P.R.? The hurricane is already old news to people not directly affected by it. No one other than the Saints faithful is going to care if they move the team. No one outside of Cleveland cared when the Browns moved, no one outside Baltimore cared when the Colts moved... so don't expect some sort of national outcry when the Saints move. |

well with ticket sales sucking in baton rouge can you blame the man. it is all about the bottom line. this is a buisness not a charity. i am not sure i understand this mentality that he must stay in new orleans because they had a hurricane. he OWNS the team. it is his to do what he wants with it. it would be the equivalent of me saying that because before the hurricane you lived in new orleans you must go back now and live there again. he has every right as the owner of a buisness to move his buisness if it can be more successful somewhere else. he owes the people there nothing.
that said i don't want to see them leave because i am a saints fan. even though their coach sucks french diiiiik. i am sorry i don't find that benson owes anyone anything. he OWNS the team and can do with it what he chooses. just like you would do if you owned the team and the bottom line mattered to you. |
Your team stinks

If they move, they move. There is nothing we can do about it. SPK is 100% correct on this. Ultimately, it is HIS team. Yes, we happen to be the fans, and fans are what drives any sport. We have invested uncountable years in this team. (I say that because I don't know the average of the group) As for me it is 33 years worth. We will just have to wait and see fellas.

Who cares! In all reality they aren't going anywhere because no city is going to invest hundreds of millions of dollars on a new stadium for these sorry punks! So unless they goto the Super BOwl or something like that they'll be right back here next year!.
