I’m already sold on Miller too. Health seems to be the only issue. I think he will be fine though.

I mean, what if Trey Lance takes over as the Cowboys starting Qb, wins MVP, and leads then to a Super Bowl Championship, since Dallas declined his option. Seems about as likely. Players have to earn their 5th year option by showing something by year 3, there is no scenario where you give a 3 year total bust the option.

Yep ^^.

Even if Payton Turner has 11+sacks in 2024, most teams aren’t offering more than 10 million dollars.

Based on what we’ve seen (or lack there of) over the years, he’s become Davenport 2.0 without the “resume”.

Hindsight is 20/20, however it was a really bad 1st rd pick.

Re: Official 2024 General Off-Season News

If Payton Turner has 15 sacks he will get paid. If Trey Lance throws 40 TDs he will get paid. If Microsoft Surface Phone becomes virally popular with tweens for the latest and best supported exclusive social and AI apps, it will overtake Android and iOS. There is an if statement for everything, but you shouldn't talk yourself into if statements predicated on highly unlikely events unless the upside if those events come through is immense. The upside in the unlikely event that Turner becomes a star in 2024, getting him for slightly under market value in 2025 without a long term commitment, hoping he stays healthy in 2025, and then being able to sign him to a market value contract for 2026, is just not an immense reward for a gamble that is 95% likely to be a total loss. If you are going to gamble with those odds, you could get players like Zach Wilson or Trey Lance for less money, and the upside value if they suddenly reach their full potential would be much greater because they would have trade value with the franchise tag and its much harder to get a young QB than a young edge rusher with a checkered past for max salary.

Anyway this is a stupid rule and if they are going to grandfather the Cowboys in they should just end the rule. Is it a threat to the diamondbacks and marlins fan bases that spring training is in arizona and florida and open to the public? Isn’t hosting the super bowl also a fan event that usually features non local teams?

None of that came from Griffin. That's all what Mathieu had to say about Allen. From everything I have read or heard the players all love DA.

A rugby ball is much larger, spins slower, has a longer hang time, and is infinitely easier to catch. I know. I have terrible depth perception but can still track a rugby ball in the air.

I am excited to see some new techniques and training scenarios that actually benefit the player. The Saints were definitely overdue for a new approach to practices and developing players. I am impressed with Kubiak and I can't wait to see the positive changes to this team that he's bringing.

We signed another interior lineman. Lucas Patrick looks like a sneaky good late pick up. It's too early to tell but our depth on the line may be better this year than last year. I don't know who our starting five are but at this point I don't believe we have better starters than last years worrisome unit.
