This is annoying because the Saints are not a threat to the Chargers and Rams fanbase in the LA market, no California locals are going to become Saints fans because they can attend training camp. But the Raiders are. Many locals are already Raiders fans who the Chargers and Rams are trying to win back. So the Saints might get denied just because the Raiders are trying to do the same thing.
Anyway this is a stupid rule and if they are going to grandfather the Cowboys in they should just end the rule. Is it a threat to the diamondbacks and marlins fan bases that spring training is in arizona and florida and open to the public? Isn’t hosting the super bowl also a fan event that usually features non local teams? |
