Re: Draft lash out thread
My worst fear is the Saints trading their 2025 1st round pick.
My second worst fear is the Saints taking Brock Bowers, or more generally I guess I don't think any team should ever draft a TE, RB, K, or P in the first round so I guess if we took a RB or a different TE I would be equally mad. Logically we should draft oline, but I can't really expect perfection, so I am just hoping we dont mortgage the future or flush the pick down the toilet. I think if we used two of our 5th round picks on TE, we would be likely to land a great TE than if we took Bowers in the 1st round, because TE is so unpredictable that quantity beats quality in the draft every time. |

Re: Draft lash out thread
I hope to god we don’t go TE with that first pick. Whether we go BPA or not, it should be for O or D line, and for both first and second picks at the least.
I don’t feel like we’re in the position to be picking luxury picks at this time, especially with high round picks. |

Re: Draft lash out thread
Even with our history of drafting BPA I can see this year being the first year we stick to a real plan. We will never know if Carr is capable unless he has blocking. IMO, Fashanu is a lock at 14. If he is gone I see Mims or Latham.

Re: Draft lash out thread
Can you though, without having to trade up. If there's a big run in R1 then players who are second rounders will be gone before the Saints pick. You'll be reaching or trading up for worse talent.
