Keep your eyes on Trevor Penning @ OTA’s and where he ultimately lines up.

Training camp should be very interesting 🤔.

Is Penning better suited at LG in the NFL? Fuaga, Penning, McCoy, Ruiz, Ramz if healthy enough isn't a bad line. It's probably easier to find a serviceable RT than LT. Maybe there's enough in the building with who they brought in barring any injuries to make due this year. Way too early to tell, though.

Or end up having his name up on the Saints' Ring of Honor after a 15 year career.

Penning is built like a LT. His tendency to play too high will get him destroyed at OG.

I think Penning is a LT or bust.

Agreed. If he's having issues playing LT without tripping or holding, I can only imagine the issues he'd have with missed assignments and combo blocks on the interior. It'd make a bad situation worse.

It takes most players a while to get down the proper techniques these days. They don't really get much "coaching" in college. I remember reading Jason Kelce saying his form was so bad after three or four years in the NFL he was expecting to get cut. He said a new coach turned him around by correcting his bad techniques and now he's headed for the Hall of Fame.

There's hope after all.
