2024 Saints Schedule Release

Still 11 hours until the official full release, but good news this morning we aren't having to play abroad.

The Jaguars played two games in London last year as well. I wonder when the Jaguars will move to London altogether. And what will their mascot be? The Starlings?

Flights from the east coast to Paris or London are not that much longer than flights from east coast to west coast. Still, it's not an easy trip either way for the traveling team. If there were a team or two in Europe, which is where prolly the NFL wants to go, does an 18 game schedule support something like that? Methinks not without some sort of major team additions...which ultimately means much more watering down of the product. Owners don't care though. It's all about the Benjamins.

The Jags aren't going anywhere. They just signed a deal with the City of Jacksonville on a new $1.4 billion stadium that supposedly ties them to the locale for the next 30 years.

For what it's worth ... home versus the Eagles week three ... maybe.

We will be there. By the way, also coming to Atlanta for a couple of Braves games the end of June.

Braves have one of the best game day experiences in America. Happy to have been a fan as a kid since the Dale Murphy days.

Played in a Braves golf tournament recently and met him for the first time. It's impressive how large he still is at his age.

I started my Braves fandom with Hank Aaron in Milwaukee prior to their move to Atlanta. Been to Braves games in the previous two stadiums, but this will be our first at Truist Park.

Re: 2024 Saints Schedule Release

I'm ready to write the scheduled games down in my calendar so that I can make plans for the fall around watching my Saints play winning football. It's been quite some time since we had the ball bounce our way and luck is on our side favoring us. The last time was 2009. I think we're due for some good luck now. I hope so anyway.

Week 8 (Oct 27): at Chargers, 3:05 p.m. (FOX)
Week 9 (Nov. 3): at Panthers, noon (CBS)

That is brutal. Coast to Coast in a week. Sheesh. Thanks NFL...

Re: 2024 Saints Schedule Release

Week 7 is a Thursday game so we get an extra couple of days to rest/ prepare, so that may soften the blow.

Two cold weather games…at Giants and Monday night in Green Bay both in December. Those could suck. Throw in early season games at Chiefs and Cowboys and we could be looking at 4 Ls right there.

Very surprised that the Saints play 2 away Monday night games. You'd think one would be at home. And Green Bay in December? Not good.

Front heavy sch. Hopefully the offense can gel before it is too late.

At least we don't have the dumb week 5 or 6 bye. And no international games. It's a schedule.

Re: 2024 Saints Schedule Release

And one thing that is VERY different from recent years ... only one division game after Week 10 (the Week 18 Tampa finale). For better or worse I think our playoff fate will sort itself out sooner this season!

According to experts, one of the easiest schedules this year.

If that translates into some wins, I'm good with that assessment.

Some teams have a stellar media department. Eagles, like em or not, are ALWAYS putting out some pretty awesome content. This is how they rolled out their 2024 schedule. (Ms. Gayle, please take notes!)

Been a Braves fan since Aaron also (in Atlanta). When I played little league baseball all the teams were named after MLB teams. I played on, you guessed it, the Braves. We won a championship one year. Oh the memories

Titans recycled their idea from last year but it still works!

Nothing about this schedule looks easy

saintsfan1976 05-17-2024 06:57 AM

Re: 2024 Saints Schedule Release

Week 1 (Sept. 8): vs. Panthers, noon (FOX) WIN

Week 6 (Oct. 13): vs. Bucs, noon (FOX) WIN

Week 7 (Oct. 17): vs. Broncos, 7:15 p.m., Thursday Night Football (Amazon) LOSS

Derek Carr benched with a 2-5 record. Enter Spencer Rattler.

Week 8 (Oct 27): at Chargers, 3:05 p.m. (FOX) LOSS

Week 9 (Nov. 3): at Panthers, noon (CBS) WIN

Week 10 (Nov. 10): vs. Falcons, noon (FOX) WIN

Week 11 (Nov. 17): vs. Browns, noon (FOX) LOSS

Week 12 (Nov. 24): Bye Week

Week 13 (Dec. 1): vs. Rams, 3:05 (FOX) LOSS

I know that corner well. Broadway and 3rd. My son performs at several clubs within a half block of there including Luke's 32 Bridge in the background. Busiest corner on Lower Broadway, for sure.

Doesn’t get much easier than opening at home against the Panthers. Unless it’s opening against the Saints.

Re: 2024 Saints Schedule Release

I don't get the negativity. Our major problem last year was the offense, including the line, under one Pete Carmichael. He is now history, along with his entire coaching staff. I can't see our offense NOT being more efficient this year. We added one of the very highest rated offensive linemen in the draft.

Any defensive struggles could be aligned with the anemic offensive playcalling over most of the season. Frequent three and outs can weigh a heavy toll on a defense. But, we all saw how much better the team as a whole played after Carmichael got his head out of his ass down the stretch. I expect more of the same at minimum and more likely, much more production offensively.

The Saints were good enough to win nine games last year and have definitely improved. Looking at the schedule I do not see a single game that we have no shot at winning. No doubt we'll lose somewhere here or there. But I choose to expect to win each individual game and will not accept a loss unless it is final.

20-0 Baby!!

Who Dat!!

I hope that the Monday night game in Kansas City isn't a train wreck. If the Saints defense can limit the scoring to FG's by the Chiefs based kicker then they have a chance.

There may be too much negativity Guido, but you certainly must understand it. As far as the OL goes, we lost Hurtz and Ram is iffy. Yes we drafted a replacement but we drafted a replacement in Penning last year and it didn’t work out. Sure it could work out but you have to admit it’s a concern.

Pash rush. Where is that gonna come from? Sure, Young COULD work out, but Jordan is older. We are hoping guys that have not really stepped up before step up now. Same was at LB. Strength of D will be backfield.
