I (like Guido) want the saints to win every game. Unlike him I don’t say I expect them to. I want them to win a second SB. But I realize the difficulties in doing so and that some factors are out of a team’s control.

I want them 20-0. But I’d rather them 16-1 than 13-4. Rather them 13-4 than 10-7. 10-7 rather than 6-9. 6-9 rather than 2-15. I wasn’t happy when Payton had a three year 7-9 run. But I would have been less happy with multiple 3-13 records.

By necessity, the first step in winning the SB is making the playoffs. Hopefully that means winning the division. Again, when I brought this up in another thread, you questioned my manhood. Not sure why my point of view brings this type of response from you.
I want “them” (US) to win too. Badly.

And you show this by crapping on every aspect of anything the organization does and hounding other users the minute they express any optimism or, in my case, simply comparing the records of two teams over the last ten years?

I do what I do. If you are willing to give the Saints (MIS)management a pass for doing what they do, you can allow a disgruntled fan to vent in our Saints Forum, or you can scroll past my comments, or you can set me to IGNORE. There is no reason to get hostile with me.

I comprehend that. So I am left to assume that if we continue to perform “well enough” to NOT be in a Niners type of draft position, (and probably just well enough to keep Dennis Allen around as Head Coach), you’ll be happy. Yes?
Typical about assumptions...

How about the Saints in 2024 improve by a game or two from 2023 (a winning record, and that's a fact) and the Saints make the playoffs as another option.

We all know that you despise Allen and want him gone. Calling him a "substitute coach" is just plain disrespectful. We understand that you are unwilling to accept the facts that the Saints were one of only 4 teams in 2023 with a top 10 scoring offense and defense, a winning record, and only missed the playoffs via tiebreak.

There are other options to the two you present. So, stop assuming and making a a$$ out of yourself in the process.

AsylumGuido and Boston Saint like this.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Me get hostile with you? You’re the one getting triggered and posting the passive aggressive stuff about my posts like a teenage girl pal, not the other way around (as other users have pointed out).

Yes, but the only way you seem to propose doing this is tearing down the organization from the top down (sell the team, fire the general manager and president, replace the coach, bring in all new players, coaches, and general management in order to improve the team.)

It's annoying because none of that is going to happen. Ms. Benson isn't going sell. She already has her succession plan in place. She's not going to fire either Lauschia or Loomis. Loomis continues to see improvement with the team with Allen. He's had 2 opportunities to let him go and has declined twice. He's here in 2024 and with just moderate improvement of a game or 2 and a playoff berth will be around for the foreseeable future.

So, your continued complaining about all the top brass in the Saints organization is an exercise in futility. While it's fine to point it out once in a while, this continued whining every day in every thread that you've been assaulting us with for 2 years with these continued calls that we just all want mediocrity when in fact folks here just taking a situation that they understand isn't going to change significantly and hoping to make the best of it, is quite annoying.

And don't bother to call to put you on ignore. You are the antithesis/evil twin of Guido in that you're going to pop up in everyone's replies if you are on their ignore list or not. And because your posts are so persistent, so annoying, and so provocative, other folks like Boston will feel compelled to reply.

Isn't it exhausting coming here every day and screaming at the Gulf to dry up? Whether we put you on ignore or not, no one in the Saints organization is going to change the vision any time soon. A vision that my brother reminded me this week has been nearly 20 years of competitive football with 0 seasons of less than 7 wins since 2006. Back in the day when we were kids such a stretch would have been unimangineable.

I know I doing as you, screaming in the storm with no hope for change. But understand this is why Guido, and Boston, and me, and others keep pushing back on your futile negativity. We are all hoping that the Saints will be better within the existing construct of the organization. Your wanting to blow it all up isn't going to happen any time soon unless the organization has a season or two of abject failure. None of us want that. But it sure seems like you do. So, why is it that you want a team that you supposedly support and want to be successful to fail miserably just in order to get the changes you want?

Fair enough. So you are “screaming in the storm with no hope for change” in your own way, and so am I. That’s what an open Forum is all about.

Again, I am not triggered at all. And both of my own teenage girls are performing their respective jobs much more productively, efficiently and satisfactorily than this multi-million dollar entertainment mismanagement that We call the Saints. My teenage girls are the result of my own hard work and dedication, in addition to their own work ethics… in which I have every right to be rewarded for (in the very least) with my team WINNING on my Sundays (and some Thursdays). I am not entertained by consistent inconsistency and mediocrity. Me stopping by this forum with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and being a Saints version of “Stephen A. Smith” with you, helps me cope. You can too. 😜

I agree completely with all of that, Boston, except for the highlighted sentence. I have never expected them to go undefeated. I have always known better than that. It's virtually impossible in the NFL, especially today. I have simply never been into this whole predicting the record hype. Honestly nobody knows with so many factors involved so that's why I always just say 20-0, or 19-0 when there were 16 games.
